Asia de Cuba at Mondrian

BEST MOJITO: I check out new places just about every night of the week, but this gorgeous white-on-white wonderland inside the Mondrian hotel continues to be my favorite spot for the classic Cuban cocktail. Served in a Collins glass, the concoction is a mix of freshly muddled mint, club soda, rum, lime juice, a little sugar and fresh fruit juice. (I love pineapple). Oh, and a stalk of fresh sugar cane which I just can't resist chewing on. It's like an edible swizzle stick!
Bar Centro at the Bazaar

BEST HOTEL BAR: When this swishy spot inside the SLS hotel opened late last year, it sent the mixology world into a tizzy. After all, this is where you can experience wild libations of Wonka-esque proportions: Edible sorbet-like caipirinhas made with liquid nitrogen? Margaritas topped with "salt air"? Yeah, it's all here. And then some.

BEST ROMANTIC BAR: This low-key, jewel box of a bar is my go-to spot for a well-made drink (especially the Pimm's Cup) and a dash of Parisian charm. Which is all you really need to create a romantic vibe. Every time I step beyond its unmarked door I imagine for just a moment that I'm in France ... but with the Pacific Ocean just a block away.
The Dresden Restaurant & Lounge

BEST LOUNGE: Three words: Marty and Elayne. Really, what more do you need?
