How to Help Haiti in L.A.

MONTH OF JANUARY: One of L.A.'s most popular coffee hangouts will be donating $10 for every bag sold of their famed heirloom organic coffee ($29.99). The coffee, roasted locally at Urth Downtown and grown by their own coffee project in Uganda near the Mountain Gorillas, is a great way to help out. The funds will be given to International Medical Corps at the end of the month.

MONTH OF JANUARY: Drink for a great cause--this upscale steakhouse will be donating $10 of every bottle of wine sold throughout the month of January to International Medical Corps and other organizations aiding in the Haitian relief efforts.

SUN JAN 24, ALL DAY: This mecca of Italian cuisine is donating 10% of restaurant proceeds, 5% of server gratuities, and any additional donations from guests to Haitian charities that provide food, clothes and medication to those in need.

THUR JAN 21, 6PM-8PM: This Santa Clarita wine bar and restaurant is holding a "Pour Into Haiti" fundraiser on Thursday. The $15 donation for entry includes wine and live music with all money going to 3 Angels Children's Relief in Haiti, a non-profit organization dedicated to the needs of orphaned children in the town of Petionville.

INDEFINITELY: This popular Abbot Kinney salon is donating 5% of sales to help the relief efforts in Haiti. Stylists are also donating $2 per client. So far there is no word on how long the donations will be going on, but it'll happen at least through the end of this week.

WED JAN 20 - SAT JAN 23: Downtown L.A.'s most iconic bar is suggesting a $10 donation at the door that will go to the Doctors Without Borders Haiti Relief Fund. The Edison will also host an auction of celebrity memorabilia on Friday, January 22 from 5pm-7pm with proceeds going to the charity.

MONTH OF JANUARY: L.A.'s one-and-only brewery will be donating 20% of all Revolution Ale ($5 per pint) sold in the taproom to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Do your part and have a beer! Just email ting@eaglerockbrewery.com for a reservation. Reservations are available on Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 4pm to 10pm.

SAT JAN 23, 11AM-4PM: Get in on the mobile food action and nourish your body and soul with the Food Truck fundraiser for Haiti this Saturday at the new T Lofts complex in Culver City.

SUN JAN 24, 5PM-CLOSE: This popular Silver Lake wine bar will donate 10% of the evening's gross sales to Doctors Without Borders to benefit the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

MON JAN 25: L.A.'s comedy community comes together for the ?Love and Haiti? benefit show with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity to rebuild houses in Haiti. Sarah Silverman and Aziz Ansari (?Parks and Recreation?) will host the all-star event. The show starts at 9pm; tickets are $50 and can be reserved by calling (310) 855-0350.

THUR JAN 21: If ever there were an excuse to indulge your sweet tooth, it would be hard to beat this one. The Valley's favorite gelato spot will donate 50% of all sales on Thursday the 21st to Doctors Without Borders to benefit victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

TUE JAN 26: Rock on for a great cause. Armada The Band has converted their show at the Viper Room into a Haiti benefit concert. Go and make a difference.

FRI JAN 22 - SAT JAN 23: This delightful restaurant inside the Fairmont Santa Monica will be donating all wine proceeds to Share Our Strength in support of emergency relief efforts for Haiti. ?We are strong believers in Share Our Strength's ability to successfully allocate the much needed funds and support in Haiti,? says Chef Ray Garcia, ?especially since Haiti happens to be their largest international grant recipient over the past 20 years.?

TUE JAN 26: Taste on Melrose and Taste at the Palisades will be donating 15% of their total sales to American Red Cross to help Haiti. The funds will be donated to the Haiti relief and development.

THUR JAN 28, 8PM-11PM: Olivia Wilde & Artists For Peace and Justice along with a long list of celebrities and artists (James Franco, Brandon Boyd, Rashida Jones) invite you to a night of art and compassion for the victims in Haiti. There will be music performances, DJ Mathieu Schreyer from KCRW, silent auction, refreshments and short films. Minimum donation of $100 per guest; 100% of donations will go to the relief effort.

THUR JAN 28: As part of "SBE for Haiti?--a weeklong campaign driven to raise funds to aid Haiti--this celeb-heavy lounge will hold a specially named ?Haiti Hour? from 10pm-11pm with <i>all</i> profits during those hours going to Haiti.

MON, JAN 25 - SUN, FEB 28: In response to the devastating earthquakes in Haiti, the world's first OPI concept salon is donating 50% of Nail Lacquer sales to the American Red Cross for Haiti Relief and Development. For every bottle of OPI Lacquer sold at the salon, $4.25 will go directly to charity.

SUN JAN 31; 6PM: This Santa Monica restaurant is hosting an all-inclusive $75-per-person dinner ($110 with wine pairings) with 100% of gross profits benefiting Doctors Without Borders. Along with chef Andrew Kirchner's delectable menu, there will be a champagne reception, silent auction and guest emcee Paul Ben-Victor of ?In Plain Sight,? ?Entourage? and ?The Wire."

TUE FEB 9, 8PM-2AM: This swanky bar and lounge in Downtown L.A. is hosting what promises to be a memorable, all-night fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders and their emergency relief efforts in Haiti. Four different DJs will spin everything from dancehall, electro and mashups to 80s, underground hip-hop and neo-soul. Best of all, 10% of bar earnings and 100% of the door proceeds will go directly to charity. Suggested donation of $5-$10.
