Kid Stuff for Adults

Updated: March 27, 2009

Does acting like a grownup hold little to no appeal for you? Do you watch "Spongebob" by yourself to decompress? You're not alone. Even dame Diane von Furstenberg, designer extraordinaire, released a Wonder Woman-inspired comic book strip character named "Diva." L.A. is just the place for marveling at shiny things and indulging in childlike behavior. Yay!

Because children can't fork over between $65 and $975 bones for their favorite Kidrobot characters covered in Swarovksi crystals ... This Melrose shop's normally playful baubles are especially so since legendarily pink-haired Tarantino partnered with Kidrobot to create limited edition art toys like necklaces, bracelets, charms, wallet chains and rings. As if that weren't enough: She's also designed her own Barbie--think tiaras, satin dresses, fishnets and Jaguars for cruising Malibu in.

Slow-cooked fast food: Like Mickey Dee's without the ginormous clown face and food chemicals. Eagle Rock's tasty destination is definitely for adults: beer, wine, pork--but with a pleasingly retro flair and cupcakes for dessert. Eastside hipsters are really just big kids anyway.
