Spotting celebrities in LA might seem like a no-brainer, but even if you hop a double-decker bus with your oversized camera, buy a star map on a Beverly Hills street corner, or camp out in front of CAA, catching a glimpse is not a guaranteed deal. But before you go all stalkerazzi, tap into your inner chameleon and blend in with the trendy habitats of these enigmatic creatures. Here's a starting list of 10 spots to see celebrities in Los Angeles.

Famous faces (and those who stalk them) can't seem to get enough of this Beverly Hills restaurant known for its pricey Chinese food and high celeb quotient. Around since 1973, its doors have greeted everyone from Whitney Houston to the Kardashians (do they count?).
Is nothing sacred? For celebrities, this French-styled hotel is the ultimate Hollywood hideaway. Armed with tough security and a quiet, discreet atmosphere, it's no wonder everyone from Keanu to Lindsay has called this place home at one point.
When celebrities are hungry for more attention and need to fill the void (of their closets) with more overpriced wearables, they head to this Robertson Boulevard boutique. Don't be surprised if you run into Nicole Richie, Jessica Simpson, Tori Spelling and every other dime-a-dozen TV starlet here.
Got a thing for sweaty celebs? Then you'll love this place. Paris and Britney bring their personal trainers to this workout haven while celebrities who don't have PTs (that's personal trainers, to us regular folks) enjoy DIY cardio and strength training.
This ultra boho-chic clothing shop with locations in Malibu, Venice and Santa Monica attracts celebs with its seemingly endless supply of luxe fashion. You can spot celebs of all shapes and sizes here: Eva Langoria, Kate Hudson, Ashley Tisdale and Denise Richards are among those recently spotted.
Steaks. Celebrities. Paparazzi. But not necessarily in that order. Get ready to spend and dine like an A-lister at this Sunset steakhouse. Halle Berry (we personally spotted her), Robert Downey Jr., Luke Wilson and Jennifer Lopez are just a few of the guests who've graced its patio. Grab some surf & turf and keep your head on a swivel.
This designer mall "yard" plays host to cafes and couture shops like Ron Herman and Maxfield. Expect to see beach-dwelling celebs who've ditched the din of Hollywood for the salty breeze of the California coast. (Matthew McConaughey's wife, we're talking about you.)
This organic cafe pulls in big names with its laidback vibe and simple menu of fresh foods, teas and coffee. Aside from its perpetual role on "Entourage," the cafe has played host to Jake Gyllenhaal and David Beckham, who enjoy the sidewalk tables.
Celebrities may look like they never eat, but they can't seem to get enough of this other sceney steakhouse that serves up a loud 70s-rock soundtrack, tasty cocktails and meaty fare. If you can't find this place, just look for the TMZ paparazzi right out front.
