5 to Try
-
Big Wangs
Read Reviews1562 N Cahuenga Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028 (map)
The name says it all: This Cahuenga Corridor barn-themed bar is where to go for good times, spicy chicken wings (they're only 25 cents each on Tuesdays till 6pm!) and serious down-home drinking.
-
710 Grille
Read Reviews710 S Weymouth Ave, San Pedro, CA 90732 (map)
Some like it hot ... like, really hot. This San Pedro favorite is famous for its wings that come in groups of 10 ($6.95) to 50 ($34.95). Go for the "Sissy" if your palate is sensitive, but if you're brave enough to feel the burn, try the "Ring of Fire." Just one caveat: You'll have to sign a release waiver if you order 'em. Don't say we didn't warn you.
-
Weber's Place
Read Reviews19312 Vanowen St, Reseda, CA 91335 (map)
Once known as a kooky dive, this Reseda sports bar has a brand new look and broader Creole menu with fancier fare, but not to worry--you can still get their spicy fried chicken wings for $6.95.
-
The Shack
Read Reviews2518 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90403 (map)
The Eagles aren't the only hot birds at this rowdy Philly bar in Santa Monica. Hot wings are $2 off Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm. (That means $6.75 for 6.)
-
Ye Rustic Inn
Read Reviews1831 Hillhurst Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90027 (map)
If you're not coming for the cute bartender or cozy red vinyl booths, then it must be the late-night drinks and spicy chicken wings at this rustic watering hole. Monday nights you can get a dozen of the spicy things--along with a pitcher of Bud--for $17. Otherwise, wings can be had in batches of 6 ($6), 12 ($9.50) or 18 ($14).
