La Conversation is a great place to go if you have all day to dedicate to breakfast. The food is rich, the prices are average for the area, and the wait staff is slow but accommodating. Be prepared to wait for a table and hunt for parking.

I used to live down the street from La Conversation on Dohney. I miss the family-like attitude of the restaurant. Although I would only go there once a week, the entire staff knew my name and were always interested in what I was doing. The owners even baked a huge birthday cake for me one year as a surprise. I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about. The Food is addictive! The salad nicoise is the best anywhere and they have the best breakfast in town. Don't go on a weekend or you'll die from the wait. Go on a weekday when the crowds are less.
Pros: salad nicoise, cakes, pies, cookies
Cons: avoid on weekends
