Urth is all-natural inside and out: Blonde wood, feathery green papyrus plants and turbinado sugar say it all. Place your order among the madding crowd at the counter and then try to nab a spot on the terraced patio, where model-types balance their organic meals by puffing on Marlboros.
The Food
Munch on the signature salad made with spinach, pine nuts and feta. Sink into a creamy chicken curry panini, or savor the rich, tomatoey gazpacho. Whatever you choose, just make sure to save room for dessert. Baked from scratch with mostly organic ingredients including fresh juice, sweet cream butter and toasted nuts, they keep crowds coming back for more. Cloudlike berry cake, 18-Carrot Gold cake, deep-dish apple pie and classic New York cheesecake earn their reputations. Wash your selection down with flavorful organic coffee, tea or a perfectly foamy cappuccino, and head home happy.

My girlfriends and I usually come to Urth when we have a lunch date. We bring our dogs and we just chat for hours while pigging out and people watch. This place is a little expensive though. I usually spend about $25-30 here for lunch, latte and dessert. Yes, I'm a little piggy, but the dessert selection is amazing! My favorite here is the honey tea latte, curry chicken salad and Coconut pie. They ARE ALWAYS out of the coconut pie though. Maybe I should leave a nasty review about their coconut pies - lie and say it tastes like dry wall. hhehehe. then there'd be more for me!!! hehehe. just kidding. Parking isn't so bad. There is always something on the street. Sometimes it takes a U-turn or 2. And if worse comes to worse, there is always valet. I think having to valet your car for a cafe is lame, but then again, it IS L.A.

Ok, so what does that mean. The food is good and great for a quick bite on the go when shopping in 90210. Take note, not all of their food is organically made. They can't make everything they sell here. I recommend the sqaush soup and turkey sandwich. Their coffees and teas are legit. Beautiful people all around and you might spot a movie star under the ball cap and denim. You can bring little Tinkerbell and Bandit, but leave them outside. Everyone's friendly, even the Hollywood agent, who might give up his extra chair for your table. Tip the servants if you can and don't leave a mess when your done.

Urth delivers QUALITY food and the BEST coffee I have ever had anywhere in the world. Their products are organic and they care about what is put on your plate. I drive all the way across town to get it and my only complaint is that there are no Urths east of Beverly Hills. The salads are incredible, fresh, original and totally satysfying. The baked goods are equally addictive. You will not go wrong if you order anything here and be prepared to buy some ground coffee to take home!
