Upscale steakhouse rewards high-profile patrons by immortalizing their likenesses in colorful caricatures.. In Short
With its Italian-tinged menu and playful artwork on the walls, this national chain (which got its start in 1926) maintains a congenial atmosphere even as corporate patrons use company credit cards to pay for 36-ounce New York strips or jumbo lobsters. Sitting in dark wood chairs placed at tables topped in white linen, suit-jacketed gents and ladies sup on prime steaks, chops and hearty portions of classic Old World dishes like spaghettini marinara and veal piccata.

best restaurant ever. the blackened swordfish is the greatest. the seared ahi tuna is the second greatest. have eaten here for years and is worth every freakin penny. the service is second to none and the staff goes above and beyond to make your dining experience magical.

Not to be missed. My friend had told me about this restaurant several times over the past month and we had tried to get a reservation earlier but could not get in. Well we decided on a Saturday that we could eat late and we were able to get a reservation. Upon walking in we were greeted and advised are table would be ready in a few moments (we were about 10 min early) All the drawings of the famous people who have dined at the restaurant were all over the walls and was fun to look at. We were taken to our table and our waitress Elizabeth greeted us and asked us for our drink order. We ordered a Primus 2005 from the Casablanca Valley of Chile and found it to be a nice wine. Dinner was filet for my friend and I had the stuff lobster, which was great and well worth the market price. While you might think that the restaurant seems loud, once you settle in and start enjoying not only your food, but you company, you don?t even notice. If you?re looking for great food and a nice place to dine this is a good choice. Since it was my first time to the restaurant they provided me with a free desert, which was the chocolate cake and was fabulous. While the rich and famous have dinned here, the less than rich and famous will also find this a great value. If you think you might only get one visit and you like lobster, then spend the extra and go for it, you won't regreat it. Can't wait to come back to LA and dine again!

Best LOBSTER!!!. I love the PALM!!!! they have the best service!! They know how to keep every customer happy and listen to all your needs. The service makes this place the best in LA for american food. I highly recommend it. The bartender was very friendly and the waiter was superb. It is one of my favorite restaurants- too bad they got rid of the cream corn=(

but the cake is awesome! I think the prime rib is better than lawry's!

Great steaks, great bar!. As regulars at The Palm, we have to admit that the flavorful steaks and lobster make up for the lack of ambiance and sometimes slow service! The managers and hostesses always remember your name and reservations almost always guarantee your table is ready on time. We love this place!

Fabulous!. I was extremely pleased with The Palm. We had 8:30 reservations and were promptly seated upon arrival. The service couldn't be beat! Romeo was one of the best servers we have had at any restaurant. My DH and I both ordered the NY Strip (cooked medium), and it was cooked perfectly! I found the steak to be very flavorful, perfectly charred on the outside, yet juicy and flavorful on the inside. I usually order the filet when we go out to eat, but since the NY Strip had so many good reviews I decided on that. I'm glad I did! The sides are definitely enough for 2 to share, and we split an order of onion straws. Since it was our first visit, the manager gave us a comp. cheesecake. Will definitely be back!

Don't Bother. This place used to be good and worth the money. Sadly this is no longer the case. My "medium rare" $34 New York was delivered well done. After trying to get a waiter's attention for awhile I sent it back and by the time a replacement arrived my dinner party was entirely done eating. Apologies were made but I'll never go back.
