What People Are Saying About Le Petit Four

In Short – One of the most iconic spots on Sunset Plaza, this umbrella-lined sidewalk cafe is where tourists, Euroflash and reality "stars" lunch, and where old-school Hollywood types, guys trying to impress their dates and Ferrari-driving showoffs converge by night. Though the softly lit interior is open and inviting, the prime seats for dining and people-watching are out front right below the bright yellow awning facing the Strip. French standards dominate the menu--goat cheese salad, spinach and Gruyere quiche, and traditional seafood dishes. European-inspired soups, pastas, omelettes…
Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- The free lot behind Sunset Plaza is one of the Strip's best-kept secrets, but these spots are exclusively for Plaza patrons. Read: If you're spotted leaving on foot, you may be towed.
- The Extras:
- Though the kitchen typically closes at 11pm, if it's busy, they'll keep cooking as long as necessary.

The lamb shank was the absolute best. They make a great vodka martini. And Lindsey the hostess was terrific!
Its all about location

I can only say if you are looking for a good meal this is not the place. If you are impressed with the French owner and the LA scene and bad food then get going at once.
If this restaurant was located in any other location in LA it would be out of business.
Take my work for it..there is no need to tell a story. If you like fresh food that is prepared in house this is not the place.
- Pros: there are no pros other than location and parking
- Cons: Bad Food

I go there maybe 5-10 times a month for lunch and sometimes for dinner! I love their menu as well as watching the exotic cars on sunset!
- Pros: They serve Calamari steak!
- Cons: sometimes very loud!
Best place to eat on Sunset!

La Petit Four seems to be overrated. Although the food and service was great, I felt like people dining there were only doing so to flaunt the fact that they were dining in a notorious place.
- Pros: happy place to dine for lunch with friends
- Cons: everyone else seems to think so
