The Scene
It's all about the outdoor people-watching at this popular boys' town eatery. On any given night, crowds converge on the lot's plastic green tables and chairs as a handful of young delivery guys briskly make their rounds for the restaurant's robust delivery service.
The Food
Brazilian herbs and spices infuse pasta dishes, sandwiches and salads that are doled out in portions big enough to feed a small village. Coxinha--a cone-shaped pocket of deep fried dough filled with tender shreds of chicken and cream cheese--is a worthy starter. Citrus marinated flat-pounded chicken breast, steak and seafood are complemented by soft and buttery-sweet plaintains while pasta entrees come with a choice of noodle. Carbonara is a smoky burst of flavor that is best paired with the delicately textured gnocchi. Even side orders--such as the deliciously creamy mashed potatoes--are almost meals in themselves.
Hits: Service is friendly and knowledgeable, the food is fresh, and the prices are very wallet-friendly.
Misses: Parking, parking, parking. Located directly across the street from fellow perennial favorite The Abbey, finding a nearby reasonably priced spot is a real challenge.

I've been to this place many times and it's always a good experience. My friend and I were served by this CUTE guy from Argentina who was extremily friendly and gave us excellent service. Felt good to tip him! :)

I work probably 2 miles from this place in WEHO - and while our lunch options are really limited this place ROCKS. I can honestly say that my coworkers and I order from here at least once a week because the menu is absolutely HUGE! So far I have had the classic grill (chicken, black beans, rice, plantains and salsa), the chicken lasagna (OMFG - so good) and the Bossa salad with sea bass - all enormous portions - all excellent. In short - I think we'll be ordering from here for a while - a good lunch find is priceless - and this place certainly fits the bill when it comes to tasty food, good delivery guys and decent lunch pricing when considering the portion size. Five stars because the delivery is never late, the food is always yummy and everything seems very fresh.

Bossa Nova sounds good, but so far every time I've gone I've walked away satisfied but not impressed. I'm not particular familiar with Brazilian cuisine, so maybe I've just been choosing the wrong items for my palate but after half a dozen times I'm just not getting the appeal. Outside seating is definitely preferable as indoors is dark but not in any romantic way. Well, not dark, but not really warm and bright. Anyway, I'll go with friends if they love Brazilian but it's not going to be my first recommendation any day.

What to Drink:
The tasty and tangy Caipirinha--a classic Brazilian drink of cachaca (rum), lime and sugar---is a light and refreshing complement to virtually every meal.
Parking:
Parking can be a headache, especially as evening sets. Try the lot on Santa Monica Boulevard or one of the (costly) public parking lots.
Know Before You Go:
Most folks sit outside, but more intimate seating is available inside the small, vibrantly colored restaurant.
