What People Are Saying About Hugos Restaurant

In Short – Patrons lounge about and try to spot the celebs behind scruffy duds and sunglasses at the next table over. Although lunch and supper are served, the breakfast menu is the real draw, with highlights like spiced pumpkin pancakes doused in butter and syrup. The veggie farmer's plate is grilled tofu on a bed of spinach and purple cabbage, surrounded by mushroom-and-polenta triangles. Pasta Papa is a giant bowl of linguini scrambled with eggs, bacon and sausage.

The company doesn't care about your problem

by LA JAR

We ordered takeout from Hugo's a month ago for an outside event. When we arrived at the park, we found that they had not included any utensils, napkins, condiments etc. despite the fact that we had specifically requested those items when we picked up our order.

I called Hugo's in frustration about this. The hostess was polite and sympathetic and took down my contact information. She said she would forward my complaint to the manager who makes a determination on each complaint as to how the restaurant will respond. I must not have mattered, because I never heard a word from the manager or from Hugo's.

The night in question, we had to (embarrassed) borrow utensils, napkins etc from other people who, luckily, had some extras. I will never forget how unconcerned Hugo's as a company was of what we went through then and the arrogance of that manager.

Nice Pancakes!

by ChristopherBoo

First time was good for me! I love breakfast with friends, just hanging out, eating and chatting. Saturday morning this is a fun place to hang out..if you can find a parking spot, be careful!!! (parking tickets are going through the roof these days.. you might find a space on Olive Ave) I am a nut for Orange anything and I had to have "what he is having" .. I saw this on my way in..Orange Cranberry Pancakes!! I am somewhat of a health nut.. and as much as I love to eat, I always keep in mind what I am putting in my body.. the food was great! The service was great and we hardly had to wait to find a seat.. This is a great choice for a fun breakfast!

I don't know what else but I wish I could cook like this! They have lots of healthy options, and some decadent stuff too if that's what you like, also great tea selection! Love this place!!!

Good, healthy food with deli style setting

by diamamamia

This is one of the many brunch places I tried within a month span in West Hollywood. I loved the healthy, organic foods they offered. Loved my bloody mary, too. The food tasted very fresh. Not comfort food cause it was kinda healthy. I liked it, but you have to be in the mood. Good price and expect a deli, crowded atmosphere.

  • Pros: Healthy, fresh food
  • Cons: Crowded
