This casual SoCal burger joint inhabits a bright yellow Amtrak passenger car from the 1920s, and its white- and red-paneled walls sport old framed black-and-whites documenting its disco-era construction. I'm a huge fan of the turkey burger at Carney's - it's very very good. Not 'gournet' good...just plain tasty. It takes about 10 minutes to cook - always a good sign - meaning they prepare it fresh. Thumbs up.

The hot dogs were tasteless and when I asked for ketchup instead of mustard, I was made to feel like I was a freak.
Pros: Clean eating area
Cons: Don't ask for anything special.
