Best Chili Dogs and chili fries. The Carney's Dog is a dining experience. I don't know why I always see lines at Pink's, Carney's hot dogs - and chili - and fries, for that matter, are superior.

I always get a Carney's dog with cheese and chili cheese fries.

Pick a dark, smoky dog that's been steaming for awhile. A little mustard and smothered in chili, topped with cheese, a light sprinkling of chopped onions and a thick slab of fresh beefsteak tomato. Eat ti with a knife and fork! The hot dog gives a snappy "pop" when you bite in.

The fries are just right - thin cut and a little crisp, like McDonalds, with a generous portion of chili and best topped with a slice of cheese.

Carney's chili is similar to Tommy's, but Carnys is better about keeping it fresh and skimming off the grease.

The Hamburgers are comparable to Tommy's, but it's the hot dogs and chili fries that really stand out.

So good, so bad. If you're looking for an awesome chili dog, with TONS of grease, this is the place. Nothing they serve can even be remotely thought of as healthy...so don't look for that. You're there for an awesome chili dog, chili fries and soda.

The place can be busy for lunch, or late at night after the bars let out. Its GREAT for a hangover, or to just simply give you a heart attack! Enjoy!

Ewwwwe Garden burger hell. Carney's was a tour de force of scary fake burger meat, which I think is the worst kind of meat and the queen of bad food. Many orders were mixed up and my lettuce mayo burger came out as a 1000 Island dressing disaster.

Suffice it to say, I did not enjoy Carney's very much.

Turkey burger!. I'm a huge fan of the turkey burger at Carney's - it's very very good. Not 'gournet' good...just plain tasty. It takes about 10 minutes to cook - always a good sign - meaning they prepare it fresh. Thumbs up.

Tasteless hot dogs. The hot dogs were tasteless and when I asked for ketchup instead of mustard, I was made to feel like I was a freak.

Probably NOT the best hamburgers in town!. Probably NOT the best hamburgers in town. Alright, its junk food, and in that category they're OK. But these are grease burgers, just watch the way they cook them. Its cholesterol city. And the burgers do NOT look like the pictures on the billboards. Fries are OK, but too thin for me. I don't go here any more, I'd rather spend a bit more and get something better.

Great hot dogs. I'm from Chicago so I'm very particular about my dogs. These hot dog's are pretty good. The service was good and atmosphere was great and selection pretty decent. I would definitely go again.

Would you like Bliss with that?. This iconic eatery is a regular weekend stop for us. The friendly staff keeps the place clean, and they work through the longest of lines like a machine! The taste of the chili can vary, from a mellow mole' flavor to the greasiest of hangover foods, but when added to a burger, it opens a new vista on fun food. Special orders are de rigeur: onions, no pickle, add cheese, pickle on the side, etc. Awesome hot dogs in several varieties satisfy nearly all palates.

Any food I eat while making "yummy happy kitty" noises rates pretty high on any list, and this place is a weekly mmmmmmmmmyumgmmymmm! Plus, you can watch the world go by, wave at curious tourists in their buses, eavesdrop on interesting conversations, and trade amazed stares with some pretty cute kids!

Right on the Sunset Strip, this place has excellent off street parking. Leaving can be a problem, if LAFD has parked in the red zone in front of Carney's. If firetrucks are not at the curb, wait for a break in the traffic and rocket to the 'suicide lane'. Easy!

Locking restrooms with hot water, plenty of 'napkins', usually good tunes on the muzak, happy hour specials, and hunger satisfied for hours make this place a must visit!

They deliver in the area, can have small to medium size parties for birthday or after practice, with a nice outside seating area. Toddler high chairs are available, and the ramp to get in from the rear parking area is easy to walk up.

Cheese paper has NOTHIN' over chili paper!
