Editorial Review for Soolip Paperie & Press – by Ginny Chien
In Short
Exquisite, handmade, designer cards and wrapping papers of every texture--many imported from England, Japan and abroad--fill almost every foot of space between Soolip's sage-colored walls. While fancy paper is the big draw here, it's hard to pass up the wide assortment of wax sealers (Cameron Diaz has picked up a few) and other whimsical writing accessories. Clever knickknacks, such as hand-shaped crayons and fortune cookie portfolios round out the selection.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasThe Paperie has been so successful owner Wanda Wen expanded into home furnishings, clothing and beauty products at the adjacent Soolip Bungalow.
Know Before You GoPrices are mid-high. Don't expect to pay any less than $4 for a card here (some more intricate pieces can cost nearly $15), but there are some reasonably priced designer box sets.

Soolip is the cutest little shop to go for invitations, greeting cards, business cards, and any custom stationary. They have a wide variety of custom made stationaries. The prices are a bit on the steep side, since they are all custom made. The pressed flower cards are so beautiful and they offer different types of unique papers as well. The details and quality is outstanding. I met with Katherine, who works on the custom works (letterpressing, blockpressing,...) herself was very sweet and took the time to explain all the details of the process and the choices. If you are willing to spend a little more on personalized, creative and unique stationaries, then Soolip is the best place to go!
Pros: Creative custom made products, great customer service
Cons: High priced

I love browsing though soolip's cute little bungalows off of melrose. Facing melrose is my favorite paper store in the world with bins full of handmade paper and tiny german paper clips, and lots of letterpressed cards. then there's a hidden courtyard behind the store with a flower studio and a cute treasure of a home store. the staff there is lovely - they offered me free quarters for my car!
Pros: lots of handmade paper
Cons: metered parking- but they gave me quarters!
