POOR SERVICE. I won a gift certificate to get a facial at Face Place at a charity auction. I made an appointment to get the facial and got stuck at work and had to call and cancel. When I called back to make another appointment they informed me that my gift certificate had been used because I didn't give 24 hours notice. I understand that they require notice but if I could have given more notice I would have. And it was for a charity event where we paid more money for the facial than it was even worth because it went to a good cause. Doesn't seem like a good way to treat a first time customer.

FACE PLACE: BEST DEEP CLEANSING FACIAL I HAVE EVER HAD!. the Face Place. If you want clean, flawless skin, no blackeads and a glowing complection...this is the place. You have to take care of your skin too, of course, but in the 15 years that I have have been going here, I have never found a better cleansing facial. It's low key, 2 beds (with curtains) in each room, and no pampering...so if you love facial massage then this is not for you. But for clean skin, it's the greatest place! It takes about 2-3 treatments if you have never had one before, but then you come out with no blackheads, no clogged pores and your skin just glows! After that you can do it once a month or so for flawless skin. It's a steam mask, then at least 30 mintues of extraction, then this amazing "glavanic" mask treatment with sulfur (I think) and vitamins and electric current that makes all the redness go away and makes any skin imperfections heal super fast. That's the secret. I miss this place anytime I leave L.A. (there is one in NYC now too.) Myra is the best technician, but everyone is super nice. If you are into "celeb haunts", well I've seen Leonardo DiCaprio here once and I know Cameron Diaz, Jody Foster and Brad Pitt go there or used to go there, too. It's great for deep cleaning. If clean skin is what you love, this is the place. People always comment "your skin is glowing..it looks great" after I come out! You don't have to run and hide when you leave...I think the "galvanic mask" is the secret. I'm hooked on it!

bitchy staff. the girls here are so bitchy.. ugh. ive been working in the beauty industry for a while.. and have seen much of this attitude.. but thats not the way to get clients to return!!

Though this minimalist, quiet salon is sparsely decorated, its atmosphere is warm and inviting. Since 1972, the Face Place has specialized in one type of facial, and they do it well enough to have thrived on word-of-mouth alone. Blissful clients practically float to the desk to pay for treatments. The philosophy here is that a Face Place treatment is like "going to the gym for your face."

Amazing facial. It was the BEST facial I ever had. I truly look 10 years younger. I have never had so many compliments in my life! The staff is so nice. I couldn't believe I did not even have a mark on my face after the extractions. The Supreme Night Cream that I purchased is my favorite new product.

Amazing!!!!. I have suffered from bad skin and acne my whole life. After my first facial I saw such an improvment in the overall condition of my skin. The staff new everything about different kinds of skin, and thanks to them I finally love my skin. I actually now have people commenting on it condition. The staff is very proffesional, and this is the one salon that allways runs on time. A different kind of facial, but it works. A must for anyone who wants to improve their skins condition!!!

Unbelieveable!. I read the review on here a few months ago about the Face Place. I kept it in mind and when I had time I went there right away. I went with really bad acne, scarring, blackheads, everything gross a woman could have. David was absolutely wonderful. My skin looked great right away!!! I am definitely going there every month from now on. He really pays attention and takes the time to get EVERYTHING out. =)

Without question - the best for skin. I am an extremely fickle consumer, but this place has become one of the reasons I might never leave Los Angeles.

No frills, no fancy creams; just a consistently professional, and thoroughly satisfying experience. I sought the treatments after living a few months in the harsh LA climate - it made a huge difference. My skin feels healthy, clean and glows after each treatment.

The place itself has a clean and lovely aesthetic, and the staff couldn't be more professional . I am definitely not one of their fancy clients, but they make me feel special, comfortable and welcome every time. While I am devoted to my technician, Carina, I have enjoyed treatments by others while she was on vacation and they are fantastic.

I cannot live without a monthly facial - if I were rich, I'd go every week. I love this place.
