In Short – Though this minimalist, quiet salon is sparsely decorated, its atmosphere is warm and inviting. Since 1972, the Face Place has specialized in one type of facial, and they do it well enough to have thrived on word-of-mouth alone. Blissful clients practically float to the desk to pay for treatments. The philosophy here is that a Face Place treatment is like "going to the gym for your face."

FACE PLACE: BEST DEEP CLEANSING FACIAL I HAVE EVER HAD!

the Face Place. If you want clean, flawless skin, no blackeads and a glowing complection...this is the place. You have to take care of your skin too, of course, but in the 15 years that I have have been going here, I have never found a better cleansing facial. It's low key, 2 beds (with curtains) in each room, and no pampering...so if you love facial massage then this is not for you. But for clean skin, it's the greatest place! It takes about 2-3 treatments if you have never had one before, but then you come out with no blackheads, no clogged pores and your skin just glows! After that you can do it once a month or so for flawless skin. It's a steam mask, then at least 30 mintues of extraction, then this amazing "glavanic" mask treatment with sulfur (I think) and vitamins and electric current that makes all the redness go away and makes any skin imperfections heal super fast. That's the secret. I miss this place anytime I leave L.A. (there is one in NYC now too.) Myra is the best technician, but everyone is super nice. If you are into "celeb haunts", well I've seen Leonardo DiCaprio here once and I know Cameron Diaz, Jody Foster and Brad Pitt go there or used to go there, too. It's great for deep cleaning. If clean skin is what you love, this is the place. People always comment "your skin is glowing..it looks great" after I come out! You don't have to run and hide when you leave...I think the "galvanic mask" is the secret. I'm hooked on it!
- Pros: Best deep cleansing facial, amazing "galvanic" mask at end of treatment, no pressure to buy stuff, cute salon, clean, nice people
- Cons: a little expensive, but the price is a little less or the same as most other salons nearby

the girls here are so bitchy.. ugh. ive been working in the beauty industry for a while.. and have seen much of this attitude.. but thats not the way to get clients to return!!

Amazing facial

It was the BEST facial I ever had. I truly look 10 years younger. I have never had so many compliments in my life! The staff is so nice. I couldn't believe I did not even have a mark on my face after the extractions. The Supreme Night Cream that I purchased is my favorite new product.
