Welcome Back Normandie!. Wow - I was a little sad when I saw the Normandie Room was closed down for a week or 2 - but now that it's re-opened, it looks amazing! It's the same bar, same vibe, same great bartenders, but looks like a brand new place! They did a great job fixing it up while keeping it the same. My friends and I couldn't be happier. We went both nights this past weekend - Friday & Saturday - and even with the pouring rain the place was packed. I think it's safe to say the Normandie is back. I just hope we don't have to start waiting in lines outside to get in. I've been going to this bar for years and am so happy that the place looks so good (and so did the ladies). BTW - thanks for not raising your prices either! ;)

Great neighborhood bar!. Walked in on a Tuesday, and was greeted by a very friendly bartender. It ended up being Tuesday Trivia night, so much fun. I didn't win, but the girl who did got some crazy bar tab. I'll be back next Tuesday for sure! Great strong drinks and a really nice and friendly crowd. Both guys and girls. The bartender was pretty hot herself. ;) Great bar, I've walked by many times and I'm so glad I went in. I intend on making the Normandie Room my new local hangout.

Just average. The place is too crowded and the drinks are too high! The bartenders aren't very friendly, but the person at the door is worse.

That all being said, it is a cool place to hang out with your friends.

Bottom line - West Hollywood needs BETTER girl bars!!!!

Get Ripped Off. This is my local bar - I live around the corner - I loved the jux box, I love the pool table, I loved the atmosphere, but the longer I stayed there the less I liked it. The bartender was terrible, too concerned with talking it up to people at the bar while I stood there for over 15 mins waiting to be served. Keep in mind there was probably about 25 people in the whole place and only ME waiting for a drink. You would have thought she didnt see me - but she looked at me and my money numerous times.

My bill was $27 - I left $31 - my card was charged $36 - you do the math.

BAD SERVICE - RIPPING OFF PATRONS - good thing I saved my signed receipt - Lesson learned - DONT GO THERE WITHOUT ALOT OF TIME and CASH in your pocket !!!!!

Great Bartenders. Friendly, knowledgable bartenders. Fun, eclectic, non-pretentious crowd. Great jukebox. Best on Saturday nights.

Super Cool Atmosphere, Hot Girls. This place rules. It's great on a Friday night. The bar is dark and mysterious, lit by some candles and the gleam of a huge TV playing weird old movies in the background. The music is edgy and gets you in the social/flirty mood. Comfortable barstools and tables, roomy enough to manuver, and the bar is fully stocked. Nice crowd, diverse and chill. Overall a casual be-yourself atmosphere that will keep me going back. Also, there is this incredibly hot chick bartender that looks like a boy with tatoos...she's reason enough to go back. Oh, and they have clean bathrooms! Seriously folks, you KNOW that is important ;) Reasonable prices, good drinks, and did I mention good looking women?

An eclectic mix, minus homophobes or heterophobes, combine with good music for a laid-back atmosphere.. The Scene
The Normandie Room feels more like a New York City artist's loft than a bar. It's small and funky, but gives off an immediately comfortable vibe. Once inside, the eye is immediately drawn to the expansive granite bar that seems to take over the entire room. A few tables line the 20-foot-high windows, offering an ideal spot for people watching inside or checking out the action outside on Santa Monica Boulevard. Late arrivals run the risk of getting stuck behind the pool table in the back with no room to move, much less make a bank shot.

The Draw
Although it's still technically a woman's bar, gay men and gay-friendly people are also frequent Normandie-goers. Expect music that's as varied as the crowd--everything from world beat to '80s New Wave classics keep the loyalists grooving and coming back for more.

Best Bar in West Hollywood. Wow! I hadn't been to the Normandie Room in over a year - now I have no idea why I stopped going. They've made some appearance changes and the place looks great! The staff is awesome and the drinks are still as strong as ever. The night I was there I noticed a few hotties playing pool - Great crowd, great atmosphere, great music, and overall my old/new favorite bar!

Yummy Yum. I had a good time at the Normandie Room, it was my second time going there on a saturday. The worst part of the night was the imcompitent bartenders. They were two guys and they were just horrible. I could have run laps around them, we were calling them: dumb and dumber. They were overserving people way too much. One bombed girl tried to start a fight with me it was craziness. I did meet a really cool girl from Tennesee that night and a couple of other cool girls as well. Good place to meet girls and just stick to beer....

Best Drinks!. I love the Normandie Room - best bar in West Hollywood. The drinks are amazing - really strong and really reasonably priced. The crowd is really friendly and there's a pool table in the back. Also, great music - nothing too 'cluby' - just good classic rock with some oldies, some new stuff, and some 80's thrown into the mix. I've been coming to this bar for a few years now - but it seems to always get better.
