great food, great restaurant, great place, attentive earth, decent price, very good service, loved fish
Gem tucked in a shopping center. A great little gem of an eatery tucked in a shopping center at the top of Beverly Glen. A wonderful menu with interesting takes on traditional Chinese dishes. An absolute must is the Walnut Shrimp. You have never tasted sauce like this! Lots to choose from. Everything I had was delicious!
Fresh take on traditional Chinese dishes. Great food, well prepared. Last time I was there, had a simple steamed red snapper with ginger--sublime. Also, try the cabbage and cilantro salad with lime. Fresh and surprising.
Magic little spot in the Hills with great food. First of all, what a great setting, hidden in the hills, we sat outside at dusk - lovely ambience. But it's the food that makes the evening, the usual dishes with a touch of "new" about them. Loved the fish in black bean sauce. All the food was fresh, light and we could have licked our plates clean. Great place for a business meeting or a romantic dinner. My favorite "get away" place in town.
surprise on the hill. Stashed in a mall on the top of Beverly Glen, this restaurant is refreshingly good. Standard dishes are good but things like soft shell crab are unique to my experience with Chinese restaurants.
great place for chinese food. very cute and lovely place. service and food are very good. We will go back again
great place for Chinese food. The waiter is very friendly. The food is great.
wonderful Chinese.
Sichuan sting bean is excellent , Orange chicken, ...Basil beef.... so many wonderful selections.
good location for dinners.
Highly recommanded
Excellent Chinese. Had a fantastic meal here. Food was very fresh, with complex flavors and healthier preparations than most Chinese in the area. Minced tofu lettuce cups were very tasty with satisfying meat-like texture. Sichuan string beans were tender and perfectly seared with a delicate sauce that allowed the full flavor of the beans to shine through. The highlight of the night was the steamed fillet of fish with a black bean sauce. The fish was very moist and melted in your mouth. The asparagus in the asparagus beef were also perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with the tender beef. Kung Pao Shrimp was excellent. The shirmp were large and actually tasted like shrimp and not just sauce. The Basil Chicken was also very good with the right combination of Thai Basil and jalapeno peppers. The brown rice was unique as it includes some wild rice that adds some crunch and additional nuttiness. Finished with creamy green tea ice cream. Sat on the outdoor patio which was charming and the service was also excellent. Located in pretty shopping center at top of Mulholland and Beverly Glen. Will be going back for sure.
Great restaurant. classy yet real: i truly enjoy this place, kinda hidden away, quiet, indoor/outdoor seating, decent prices just high enough that the kiddies and the rifraff wont go here (thank god). i can't say enough about this lovely place. servers down to earth, friendly, and attentive.
