Scary in many ways.. Location is good. fires are bad. service is like oh well. The Health Inspector was there throwing out old cutting boards and training staff on cleaning the soda dispenser and floor detail! Hopefully they clean up!!!

Wheres the Steak??. Wife and I went there on Saturday 3/01. Place was small and looked dirty. Both ordered the cheese steaks.Seemed to be a waste of money because when the arrived we had a hard time seeing the meat. There was not enough meat on the sandwich. Being from Philly, when you get a cheese steak there at least you can see the meat. It was a bad Staurday for us.

The truth about Papa Jake's.... I've been going to Papa Jake's for about 8 years now and not to sound bias, but it has the best hot subs! It's not just a great philly cheesesteak place. I would recommend the Italian Hot sausage, the Chicken cacciatore, and the Tuna sandwich! The tuna is the best! I hated tuna all my life until a friend told me to try it from Papa Jake's. It's good! I don't know what it is. It's a simple recipe, mayo and tuna. There's no add ins like celery or onions, just tuna...but it's awesome. And of course you have to get both sweet and hot peppers on the sub. Trust me, the hot's are not that hot, so if you're a wimp to spicy foods, don't be scared to try it. It's the only way to have a sandwich here, it's the franchise. Cheese fries are awesome too. Expect to pay about $8 for a footlong. There are now 6" subs available too.

For those that get star-struck easily:

Celebs enjoy this spotr too. Out of the several times I've been there, I've personally seen Kobe Bryant, Scottie Pippen, Robert Horry (back when he was a Laker), James Woods, Gene Simmons, and Ryan Cabrerra eating there.

The best Philly Cheesesteak in L.A.!. This place is small and not that noticable in Beverly Hills, bu they have the best Philly Cheesesteak I have ever eaten. Get the one with white-american cheese and include the hot and sweet papers. The textures and flavors absolutley rock! The garlic frees are pretty tasty too!
