Citysearch Editorial Review. Unlike almost every other commercial spot on Rodeo Drive, this sweet little hotel keeps things disarmingly simple. Flanked on either side by Michael Kors and Valentino (who could ask for anything more?) the 88-room, 4-floor retreat is where out-of-town suits and families looking for the suite life stay in between business meetings, tee time and serious splurging. Rooms feature Frette linens, CD players and cozy robes while business amenities include DSL, multi-line telephones and an outdoor boardroom. Okay, so the hotel has neither a pool nor spa (although the rooftop suites do have wraparound sundecks with panoramic views of the city), but it does have Cafe Rodeo, where creative California fusion cuisine can be enjoyed either inside or al fresco on the sidewalk patio ... priceless people-watching included.

Good but stuffy. Alright, i know that I am in Beverly Hills but the place is very stuffy. I was getting funny looks from many because I was wearing shorts but the mint on the pillow made up for that.

Well, its time for a change for this executive chef

and all around interesting character!!

Even in uncertain economic times , one must be true to themselves'.. And those of us, whom aren't meant for the corporate world of memos and meetings... must live our life's with passion and creative surroundings.. Or at least, really want to go to work everyday!!

Effective immediately, I have decided to resign my top dog, executive chef, wine guy and workaholic position with the Luxe Hotel on Rodeo Drive and seek to fulfill my creative outlets elsewhere.

I am very proud of the 'new' restaurant that I created there, and I know that they will continue to have some success because of it, however, the

gig was just not for me.

I look forward to seeing you all in my next venture.. Which I will undertake as soon as I take a couple of days off!!

Thanks a million for your continued support in my food ventures!

The perfect hotel. This hotel is just awesome it has everything & is a world class location. The service there is excellent. I stayed there 5/15-5/19/2008

best new restaurant in beverly hills. can someone tell me WHY it took SO long to get a real chef at this wonderful cozy boutique hotel?

well, no matter. finally it happened.

after trying 5 dishes, i can say, that chef mathew gladstone has created a restaurant of bold flavors, fun presentations and terrific combinations for dinner. ( they have lunch there as well, although i havent tried it)

the catfish was sublime and the pork belly tacos were amazing.

this is be an impossible reservation to get in 3 months.

thank you luxe hotel for bringing a real restaurant to beverly hills and rodeo drive

Tops!!. Excellent hotel. Mary Lynn Knopf, Chesterfield, of Ford Model Agency appeared. CPA held meeting. Superb resources.

cafe rodeo. The best kept secret on Rodeo Drive, it's fun and not at all pretentious. I had assumed it would be because of the location. The food in very good, I had the roast chicken I think it's the best I've ever had. They also have a great little bar menu, you can sit on rodeo and have mini kobe burgers and truffle french fries.

Don't go unless you're a celebrity. We had a penthouse suite for our wedding. But since we were not celebrities, we were apparently treated accordingly in their eyes. They would not allow us to check in an hour earlier than the 2 o'clock check in time. My sister had ordered us breakfast for our special first breakfast as a married couple...that NEVER arrived. When questioned about it by my sister, she was completely brushed off, even by management. We cannot emphasize enough what a terrible experience this was from top to bottom.
