Respect all clients

This review is strictly on the pompous disrespectful attitude of the owner Michael Canale. (Edna and James are absolutely wonderful!)

I was at the salon on Thursday, April 12, 2012 for my monthly color touch-up. As I was sitting underneath the "special blow dryer" , the owner (arrogant Canale) tells Edna to move me because his over-botoxed, under nourished, and equally rude client needed the same blow dryer. I do not blame Edna, afterall she is a salon employee. However, Mr. Canale, blatantly made it clear that his clients have priority over anybody else in that salon.

When I enter any establishment in which I am paying for the services being rendered upon me, I expect to be treated with respect and not like a second class citizen.

Mr. Canale is arrogant, disrespectful, loud, and obnoxious.

I have chosen not to return to Canale Salon because I refuse to give my hard-earned money to that overbearing man.

Fabulous, Fabulous

For me, hair is a big deal. I have waist length, thick, highlighted hair and I work hard at keeping it healthy. Thus, when I moved out to LA my first thought was "WHO WILL HIGHLIGHT?!" After asking a friend, I made an appointment with Edna. Let me say...best decision ever.

She does a phenomenal. job. The color is always what i want, and most importantly, always looks NATURAL. It also grows out beautifully so that I don't even start to notice that I need a touch up for about three months.

Now on to cut. I've only been to James once, but again, what a fabulous job. It was simple, but exactly what i wanted.

Besides the obvious talent though, the atmosphere is really worth coming back for. As someone mentioned, just because this is a high profile place doesn't mean the people who work there are snobs. James, Edna, and all the assistants are soooo lovely to talk to and really make an effort to make you feel comfortable. Additionally, every time I see Michael there he always seems to be quite lovely!

Go see James at Canale!

I came to James at Canale through a Kerastase promotion and have been coming back for cuts and styling ever since! He is so talented but still down-to-earth. James' haircuts are wonderful - he truly knows how to cut based upon your hair type and face shape. And he does the BEST blow outs to boot. He is a gem!

Located right across from the Montage on Canon, you can park in the public parking and grab some breakfast or lunch at Bouchon Bakery, now too, an added perk!

Give Canale and James a try, and you'll keep coming back.

A pleasure

A happy, fun environment. Good energy!

Michael always does a flawless job and he is a pleasure to be around. His assistants are lovely! And the rest of the hair dressers are awesome too.

James gives a great hair cut and style. Natalie works wonders for blow outs! I love this salon and the way my hair smells after the gloss! :) I seriously feel made over after an appointment! The location is great as well.
