The Scene
Upscale and sleek in design, Umberto is a favorite of models, celebrities and anyone seeking a day of pampering in Beverly Hills. Natalie Cole, Billy Crystal and Gail O'Grady are a few of the stars frequently spotted here. The Canon Drive shop is the largest of Umberto's three salons but the Camden location offers a popular sandwich/espresso bar.
The Services
The salon offers the usual styling services, haircuts, color, perms, hair extensions, waxing, facials, manicures, makeup applications and scalp treatments. Clients can also buy top makeup and skin-care products imported from all over the world. The adjacent beauty supply shop stocks tons of hair accessories, hair dryers, curling irons and hairbrushes. The sumptuous soaps imported from Italy are big sellers along with lotions and potions from Switzerland and Japan. Umberto is also gaining a following around town for perfectly arched brows.

I've tried tons of salons and found some good stylists, but after a while they seem to get lazy or want to try something that doesn't fit your personality/face. Elisabeth is amazing - she listens to what you want and has a great understanding for what will actually look good on you based on your skin tone, face shape AND your personality. She is great with cut, color, blow-outs AND she's fun - no fake, snobby attitude. I've been going to her for over 4 years now and leave happy every time! I always get compliments and have sent lots of grateful friends to see her.

I have been going to Heather at Umberto for about a year now and my hair has never looked better. i always had a problem with hairdressers not listening to me and just doing whatever they want. Heather listens.....she uses the best products and leaves my hair looking healthy (even my platinum blond hair). I would only trust Heather to do my hair from now on. She is worth every penny....
