Editorial Review for Chanticleer Guest House – by J.P. Anderson
The Scene
Just a mile from downtown Sturgeon Bay on 70 private acres of farmland, the Chanticleer feels a world away. A big wood-burning fireplace welcomes guests into the main house, and a heated swimming pool and sauna beckon out front. Wander the walking trail that meanders through the field, or just admire the immaculate landscaping around the grounds--don't miss owner Bryon Groeschl's pumpkin patch.
The Amenities
The Chanticleer's eight suites and two cabins are stylishly decorated and country-cozy, with antique pieces, ornate curtains and immaculately restored woodwork mingling with modern touches like a double whirlpool, central air-conditioning and TV/VCR with stereo. Breakfast is delivered to your room--a bounty of fresh fruit, muffins, coffee and orange juice. Treat yourself to a stay in the Meadows, the deluxe third-floor suite in the old hayloft of the guest barn, where you'll wake up in a king-size bed with a breathtaking view of the rolling meadow spread out before you.

We stayed in a cabin at the Chanticleer and could not have been happier. Everything was perfect. The owners are awesome. We just stayed there this past weekend and already booked our next visit.
Pros: Perfect!
