Editorial Review for Bombay Palace – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Cubbyholes with recessed lighting sheltering small statues fill white walls at this refined restaurant, creating an intimate, romantic vibe. The extensive menu draws from all over India, highlighting dishes such as the chef's specialty lamb nilgiri, a minty, thick stew of meat and vegetables, and paneer makani, soft cubes of fresh unripened cheese doused in sweet tomato cream. Alu paratha, potato-stuffed whole-wheat bread baked in a clay oven, is perfect for mopping up extra sauce.

All i can say is wow. The food was delicious - my wife is still talking about the mango lassi (it's been 2 months since we dined here). Located in Beverley Hills, we expected the prices to be outlandish, but that was not the case (a pleasant surprise).
Pros: Food just like my mamma makes
Cons: Make reservations on popular holidays, cause they get busy

The last review seems very skewed to me! I've been coming to Bombay Palace for 10 years and have been happy with the service and food every time. The decor is still lovely, the staff friendly, and the food quality top notch. The vegetarian selections are just as good as the meat ones. When you ask for the dishes to be prepared spicy, it really is! What a refreshing change from the oil laden, tasteless stuff most Indian restaurants try to pass off as "Indian" food. The food and service is great and I truly don't understand why some people had such a bad experience especially on Valentine's Day (very strange). I'm South Asian myself, so take it from someone who grew up on mom's homestyle food, you can't go wrong with Bombay Palace if you want good food.
Pros: Food, good chef, good service
Cons: N/A
