terrible customer svc, Not kid friendly, concession snacks & drinks NOT GOOD choices only SODA,..
I saw SPACE CHIMPS with my son and 3 of his friends ranging from 5yrs-10yrs. The theater is Nice, Big, and clean. However there wasn't many people there, which was strange considering its opening weekend and its a KID MOVIE. I soon found out why. My kids wanted something to eat and drink and as usual we get the KID MEAL. First of all customer service at the concession stand was TERRIBLE. A guy there by himself named POOM, who has no kind of personality, looks bored and lazy. We WERE NOT GREETED WITH A SMILE but with a sorry tone of.............NOTHING...... as he stood behind the register. I finally said, "Well hello, you're going to take our order right?" in a very low tone POOM said "yeah".. We ordered 4 kids meals, which they HAD NO FRUIT JUICES avail. and the snacks with the KIDS MEAL was tiny fruit snacks. NO JUNIOR MINTS, NO CUP HOLDERS TO CARRY OUR DRINKS, a line build up behind us of only 5 people, a lady asked POOM if they can open up another register he said "no" Finally a manager (I Think) comes out and says they can't open a register yet.
I went on carrying all of that stuff to the theater only to be asked by a check in girl for my tickets!! even though my kids were inside the theater already.
I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS THEATER
Films and footprints leave their mark at Hollywood's most famous theater..
The Background
Sid Grauman's legendary theater began screening blockbusters in 1927. Architects Meyer and Holler produced a confection of Chinese fantasy, replete with dragons, temple dogs and soaring roofs. The renowned cement courtyard bears stars' footprints and accompanying inscriptions.
The Experience
The courtyard brims with a bustling crowd of visitors anxious to slip their hands and feet into the imprints of their favorite bygone stars. Few ever reach the lobby, where you can enjoy the atmosphere in a less hectic setting. The main theater is still a great place to see a movie, and the side theaters are adequate. When your eyes adjust to the hall's velvety darkness, you'll spy a fascinating blend of paintings and fixtures that lend the room an air of Eastern mystery.
