The other three. I like this little triad of theaters, though small, they are excellent for 6 dollar matinees. I like that they are the coordinated with and close to the Vista, which effectively make it a 4 screen theater right by my home - it's mostly predictable time slots make it convenient as well.

Formerly a single screen art house theater dating back to the 1930s, this neighborhood standby became a triplex in the 1990s. The two newest screening rooms are tiny, with postage-stamp sized screens, but the seats are comfy, there's plenty of leg room and the screen is high enough so sight lines aren't obstructed by other people's noggins. The original auditorium is significantly larger--more than double the size of the two junior theaters. Films tend to lean toward indie picks, including the year's biggest documentaries. Don't expect to find fancy concessions. This is strictly a popcorn and candy kind of cinema experience.

A lot of fun.. It's a dinky little movie theater, a bit like sitting in a sardine can, but it's fun, and the atmosphere is something that's a dying breed since places like the ArcLight, Tinseltown, and AMC Theaters moved into town. If you sit at the back of the theater, you can hear the projector -- how cool is that?

And you just can't beat the prices or the neighbourhood, either. $7.50 at night, $4 for a matinee. The little Chinese place next door is great too, despite how it looks. $4 for soup, salad, and a dozen California rolls. There's other great places around there too, including Fred 62.

The only problem can be parking. Just arrive early, and hunt around. You might have to walk a couple of blocks, but it's a residential area, so if you can find a spot on the street, it's free.

Too small to enjoy. Even the "big" theater is a joke. Sound system bites. The reverse angle of the seating (the floor slopes UP to the screen) makes my neck ache. Only go here if you can't find what you're looking for elsewhere. On the flipside, the movie selection is decent (there's usually at least one good indie pic playing), and parking is better than at the Vista, although still an issue.

loz feliz (2). call ahead. make sure the film you want to see isnt in the small theatre (it's like a 32inch TV and a boombox for sound. not to mention folding chairs for seats...practically). parking is an issue. BUt they are cheaper movies than most and usually all three are worth seeing.

should say "PLAY" on the screen corner. Theater 1 is good. Big screen, good sound. theaters 2 and 3 are closets. They tend to show more art films in 2 and 3, but it feels like I should have the remote in my hands. Matinee is $4.50, which I'll pay for the ones on the smaller screens. The theater is clean and has a good combination of Hollywood flicks and lesser known (art/foreign) films.

Cool but small. Los Feliz 3 is a great little neighborhood theater that shows mostly art films and sometimes blockbusters. Make sure that you go see movies on the main screen - screens 2 and 3 are TINY, and you'll end up feeling like you're a Lego minifig in a cigarette box. Parking is also an incredible pain in the butt in this neighborhood, so if you don't care about the trend quotient and just want to see something you can see anywhere else, you might do better elsewhere.

Remodel, Please!. Love the films that run at the Los Feliz 3, but the theaters themselves are desperately in need of refurbishing. The two smaller theaters are awkwardly narrow, and the seats throughout are creaky and less than comfortable.
