view & uploadgreat place, great booming sound, very nice performance, wonderful service

This is one of the Music Center's four venues. It's one of the largest performing arts centers in the U.S.
Love this place!. Every season they present very nice performance, the biggest surprise in 2010 is Shen Yun Performing Arts will come to this theater Feb., it is the best Classical Chinese Dance and Music Live Stage performance, ever toured 100s cities, 20s countries, last year I watched it in Pasadena, it is amazing! I believe Dorothy Chandler Pavilion will make this show more spectacular! highly recommend it to everyone. just check www-LAspectacular-com for more info.
The grand, downtown home of the city's most envied productions and performances..
In Short
Opened in 1964, the stately Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is the flagship venue in what is formally known as the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County (more commonly called the Music Center). It's named for longtime philanthropist and one of the city's most powerful women, Dorothy Buffum Chandler, who died in 1997. Familiar to millions as the frequent site of the Academy Awards, the site is also home to the Los Angeles Opera and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
Great booming sound. I've only been to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion once, but that visit was enough to create a permanent spot in my heart for the venue. This probably has a lot to do with who I went to see play (Sigur Ros) and the barrage of celebrity spottings (Jason Lee, Dave Navarro, the cast of "That 70s Show"). All in all, it's a great place to catch a concert and naturally, it has the acoustics you'd expect of such an esteemed orchestral hall.
