What People Are Saying About Pink's Hot Dogs

Everybody loves Pink's. From lunching businessmen, penny-pinching families and site-seeing tourists to ravenous club kids at 3am and celebrities with a penchant for street food, folks never seem to have a problem waiting in the perpetual line that winds around this historic joint. (Back in the day, Orson Welles would stop by once a week and down a dozen chili-cheese dogs.) The Stretch chili-cheese dog is the stuff of legend at Pink's. A long and thin 100% beef Hoffy is snug in a lightly steamed bun, oozing with chili and topped with a slab of neon-orange cheese. But the menu has evolved since…

Editor's Tips

Parking:
There is a small free lot behind Pink's, but it can sometimes be difficult and time-consuming to get in and out.
The Extras:
Don't eat meat? No worries: Pink's offers turkey dogs as well as vegetarian hamburger patties.
ambiance
90.0% positive
  1. The experience of being in line with all the other eager customers was fun; ordering was fun, but tasting the hot dog was the worst.
  2. Continued great food, service and ambience.
  3. Bring comfortable shoes, an optimistic attitude, and a hankering for cheap, juicy dogs.
  4. The place was very clean and offered a good, cheap, comfortable place for a light lunch - it was an LA landmark worthy of a stop.
  5. The patio/parking lot in the back doesn't make for a great dining experience.
  6. Honestly this is the worst hot dog Ive ever had, Costco dogs are better than these, even Target dogs are better, I dont know what people see in this place, the wait is too long, there is never any parking, and the food is gross, dont waste your time, you
  7. The is good, if you like Hot Dogs and the crowd in line in fun to watch.
  8. You will wait so wear comfortable shoes.
  9. That said--Pink's is cheap, fun and tasty--no big whoop.
  10. Between the drunkards and the wild car accident down the street that I missed by seconds from being involved in myself, I can say the atmosphere was, errr, interesting?
drinks
75.0% positive
  1. The beer-battered onion rings were very good, but not much better than any other beer-battered onion rings.
  2. hadn't been to Pink's in years, but visited them again this past Saturday / Sunday morning at 2am to find the chili cheese dogs were still delicious, the lines still long, the crowd dressed for cubbing and recovering from a little too much to drink.

  1. Pink's offers the most generous portions of ANY hot dog stand, the dogs are so fresh.
  2. Chili cheese is very tasty.
  3. love the different names they call them, like the Lord of the Rings dog (dog in 3 onion rings) and the Lakers dog (extra mustard or something).
  4. The chili-dogs are good and so are the chili-cheese burgers!
  5. The bread was delicious.
  6. *The most fantastic onion rings I've ever had- perfect size and perfectly crunchy, not oily at all.
  7. Im originally from Chicago, which has great food, and of course Vegas has great food, so I think I know my stuff.
  8. The food is not bad but it's not the greatest.
  9. There was always a line wrapping around Pinks any night of the week,, and the reason I've come to find out is this: stupid Americans with non existent food standards who follow the herd, even if it means waiting an hour for the worst hot dogs ever.
  10. am a huge hot dog fanatic and have tried them all over and whenever I can see one on the menu no matter where I am but this dog really kicks my mouths a*s, I have had better chili before but this chili is still pretty damn good, I love the variety of do
  11. Horrible food.
  12. Decent food at a decent price!
  13. and the food is a bit pricey for a HOT DOG!
  14. The chili dog sauce was the worst I've ever tasted.
  15. The bread was also dry.
  16. Our order was, 2 chili dogs, 2 chili dogs with sauerkraut, 1- 12inch spicy dog (This was HUGE!)
  17. The food is very good.
  18. The food was good but it was very costly.
  19. Like at most LA landmarks, its about good food at a good price.
  20. would like to know why people stand in line for this horrible food.
  21. the hot dogs were huge and mountainous, topped with all kinds of toppings available (bacon, guacamole, sourcream, veggies, etc. etc.), but I felt like I was going to get a heart attack after eating one.
  22. just had a polish sausage and a hamburger with cheese, bacon and chili, and my stomach is happy.
  23. Today the burgers may be more tasty than the dogs, but if you have the time, because there's always a line, and don't have too many cholesterol problems, this is the place to go.
  24. wouldn't say Pinks has the best hot dogs, but it does have one helluva menu with just about any hot dog, burger, onion ring, french fry combination you can dream up.
  25. Best onion rings and fries EVER!
  26. And the onion rings are fantastic - reminded me of White Castle's, if you know them.
  27. The food however, failed to deliver on its legacy of good food.
  28. Continued great food, service and ambience.
  29. good food, mademy mouth water when lying my eyes on the food for the fist time.
  30. really like their season fries too.

  33. the most interesting and tasty hot dogs around lol
  34. Seriously, the food is that bad.
  35. Add some scrumptious chili cheese fries and a Bubble-Up to complete your dining enjoyment!
  36. So, the next time someone tells YOU to go to Pink's, claiming that it is such a great hotdog, and they have recently been there--just do one thing: DO NOT trust anything that person ever tells you about food again!
  37. hours to navigate/endure/survive to the promised yummy culinary land of wieners.

  57. Awesome (cheap) food, loads of it - and definitely worth the long lines
  58. great food
  59. The fries aren't bad either.
  60. The dogs are awesome, but try their chicken breast grilled and wrapped in a tortilla with Pink's chili, cheese and a ton of bacon!
  61. Pink's hotdogs just don't beat the delicious dogs that I was raised on in New York.
  62. Best time to go is around 10:00 on a sunday and you can beat the gnarley lines and get some famous and mighty tasty food to eat, I mean anyone who's anyone has eaten there and it's not exaclty the Ivy but its BETTER
