The Appeal – Located next to Magic Mountain, this park offers a wide array of up-to-date pools and slides for thrill seekers of all ages. An extra-attentive lifeguard staff and a festive, bright design help make it a SoCal favorite. – – Fact and Features – The Black Snake Summit boasts five dizzying speed slides, two of which reach an altitude of 650 feet. (You'll need to rent a raft for this one.) Daredevils will also enjoy "escaping" from the Taboo Tower through a dark, spiraling tunnel. There is plenty here for the youngsters, too, including the Lost Temple Rapids,…
Hurricane Harbor = long waits and bad management
by andy93109
Hi everybody;
I took by son to Hurricane harbor on a thursday two weeks ago. It was nice and hot and we were all ready for some splashing good fun. Unfortunately, the management of the slides created rediculous lines on every ride. The park wasn't at all crowded but the lifeguards that were controlling the rides slowed everything to a snails pace. I think the management there is so concerned with a law suit that they have taken all the fun out of the park!
For me a water park is slide down and have some fun and then jump out of the pool as fast as you can without the lifeguard blowing his wistle and then pretend you're not running back to the stairs. No running by the pool guys! The point of this is as many slides and splashes as possible per hour. At six flags we were in line for 20 minutes for a thirty second slide. What a joke. $50 a person for an afternoon of about 5 slides! It was like the equivalent of watching a baseball game without any hits. 95% waiting and 4% shelling out money for overpriced snacks and 1% having fun!
I give the park a D grade!
- Pros: It was a water park and there were slides and such
- Cons: lines were rediculously long due to the terrible slide management, oh yeah, paid for parking too. $15!!

... from Magic Mountain. On one hand, it's newer and thus, cleaner and less depressing. On the other hand, water parks are the worst thing ever. I'm not a huge fan of walking 'round collecting sunburns and delicious snacks (such as Dip n' Dots). Actually, I am a huge fan of that last thing - snacks.
Something for Everyone

This is my favorite park so far. They are always adding new attractions for the thrill seeker yet there is a nice assorment of rides for the kids as well. With a rollercoaster park and water park right next to each other you can buy discount passes for both and get coupon books that make it really afforable for an entire family. When I get done I feel like I lived in a fantasy for a day.
- Pros: New Rides, Old Rides, Rides for kids and adults
- Cons: Not enough bathrooms
