Editorial Review for Mr T's Bowl – by Kim Cooper

In Short
This dilapidated former bowling alley off the 110 freeway is decked out in low-rent exotica and caters to an audience that demands to be entertained by any means available. Underground rock acts alternate with elaborate and tasteless theme nights, and the audience is invariably as interesting as what's on stage. Regulars are a bleary-eyed crop of Highland Park old-timers who seem amused by the antics of the young folks who put on shows here--so far.

bar tendress refused to close out my tab until 2 in the morning. it was 11. the service was no good and they were understaffed. i did not want to stay because of the terrible local band. my card was stolen and 100's of dollars lost. when i went back they were closed for two weeks. while they were using my card. ddrinks were weak anyway. way weak. bands are retarded. new manager has ruined it.

Pros: never open

Cons: will over charge you for watered down drinks and yell at you

I went last week to go see a friends band play at this old bowling alley turned bar, and it was awful just being there. First, the lady bartender was rude and couldn't make a Martini if her life depened on it.. HORRIBLE..!! and way way overpriced..never again. the sound was good, but the parking lot was sketchy, with kids everywhere smoking 420 and drinking 40's it made me feel like i was in high school again.. NO THANKS!

Pros: music was good

Cons: drinks weak and horrible, parking lot sketchy
