Worst experience ever---got very sick! – Went to LA for vacation, and BB Kings was on our list of to-do's....paid the $10/ea cover, was seated under the speakers, and could barely hear eachother speak. My boyfriend and I spent a good two hours at the club, eating, drinking, and enjoying the music (albeit too loud during dinnertime)...we waited quite a while for our bill, but promptly paid once our server brought it to us. Dinner for two and two beers each came to $130! While we finished our drinks, she came back around to ask us if we saw her copy of the credit card authorization. We told her no, and she said she lost it. We signed it and she took it away, so at this point it wasnt our problem, so we left.
About an hour after we got to the hotel, I got VIOLENTLY sick. I spent the entire night hovering over the toilet. Ive never been this sick in my life!!! The next day, I was still horribly ill. We had to cancel our entire day's plans, which meant losing a deposit on a rental car, and forfeiting our pre-paid tickets into Universal Studios! I contacted the female manager of the restaurant and she told me that since I was the only person to complain of getting sick, she couldnt do much more than send some soup for me to our hotel room! I couldnt believe her nerve! No appologies, no offering to refund our dinner....just an offer to further sicken me! No thanks! I lost a day and a half of our 2 day vacation because of this place---we flew to LA for nothing, basically!!!!
AWFUL EXPERIENCE-STAY AWAY – I recently visited BB Kings on May 13, 2007 and had an AWFUL experience. Eventhough I had reserved two weeks prior when my party and I arrived for the gospel brunch I was told that I would have to sign up on a waiting list!!! Due to the fact that it was Mother's Day, I did not contest and simply signed up and asked when our names would be called and was informed that it would be about 10 minutes. Then 5 minutes later a man who appeared to be the manager came out and yelled for everyone to form two seperate lines (one for those who had reservations and one for those who did not) and that seating would not commence until this had been done. Once the 2 seperate lines were informed, the gentleman(and I am being nice by calling him that) called out three names from the list and then yelled out that really only one line was needed and that everyone needed to line up infront of the ticket office. At this time I had had enough and went to inquiere if we would have to stand in a very long line even though I had reservations; the man responded in a RUDE manner, "well you still got to pay miss". At this point I decided to take my business elsewhere. This was the most unprofessional establishment that I had every visited and I have visited quite a few. Never have a received such poor service and on Mother's Day nevertheless. I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. Do not frequent this establishment or you also will be very disappointed.
coming from a former employee of 3 years, don't give any money to these con artists – i am a former employee of bb king's(3 years). you guys are right on! i am so glad that this place is slowly getting what's coming to them. please be sure to check out all the myspace pages dedicated to slamming this place. not only do they treat their employees terrible but they are making so much money off you people. please do not give your money to these con artists. the managers, d'anthony robertson and larae cecile were terrible bosses. they have no idea how to run a restaraunt. FOR ANY OF YOU THAT BOOKED CONTRACTED PARTIES!!!! LISTEN UP!!!! YOU GOT SCAMMED OUT OF A LOT OF WAISTED MONEY THAT WENT TO THE POCKETS OF THESE TWO MANAGERS/OWNERS!!!!!! I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS A SERVER THERE FOR THREE YEARS!!!!!! ALL THOSE FAKE CHARGES ON YOUR CONTRACT, LIKE ENTERTAINMENT FEE, SERVICE CHARGE(LEGALLY IF THEY DON'T CALL IT A TIP OR GRATUITY, THEY DON'T HAVE TO GIVE THE PEOPLE THAT DIRECTLY SERVE YOU ANYTHING!!! THEY KEEP IT!!!!), OH AND YOU SHOULD LOOK AT HOW MUCH THEY CHARGED YOU PER HEAD!!!! IT IS PROBABLY WAY OVER THE AVERAGE PRICE OF AN ENTREE!!!!!! THEY ARE IN VIOLATION OF MULTIPLE LABOR LAWS AND HAVE RECENTLY BEEN SUED BY A FEW EMPLOYEES. THEY CHANGED THEIR COMPANY NAME AGAIN TO AVOID PAYING THE JUDGEMENTS WHICH AMOUNT TO OVER 600K!!!!!!!! THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE TELL ANYONE YOU KNOW WHO HAD A CONTRACTED PARTY AT BB KINGS TO CALL AND DEMAND AN ACCOUNTING FOR WHERE YOUR MONEY WENT!!!!!!! ENTERTAINMENT FEE IS FRAUDULENT CUZ, HELLO, THEY DON'T PAY THE BANDS!!!!!!!!!! IN FACT, THE BANDS PAY THEM TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!! THESE PEOPLE HAVE SCAMMED CUSTOMERS OUT OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU FIGHT IT TOOTH AND NAIL UNTIL THE DOORS ARE SHUT!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT TO MENTION, YOU SHOULD GET YOUR MONEY BACK, CUZ GUESS WHERE WENT? TO PAY FOR AN AUDI CONVERTIBLE AND GOLF TRIPS FOR THE OWNERS!!!!!!!!!
it's okay but crowded – not what i expected. though, not bad. won't go out of my to go there again. Pricey too. reservations are a hassle
"SACRED FIRE" - SANTANA TRIBUTE BAND - FRIDAY NIGHT – Couldn't have picked a better place to unwind on my Friday night, the band was incredible, the service was exceptional, the food and drinks were too good for words...this is quickly becoming my weekend retreat, i had a great time and i would recommend it to any and all who are in search of a wonderful time
THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS. – Its a horrible place to throw a party. The food is over priced. The music is bad. The service is weak. The Management will steal your money. Its your tipical dirty nightclub with money laundrying, sexual harrasment, and thieving behind closed doors. The General Manager does not have a clue how to run a restaurant. She is a former Real Estate Agent. The owner has no morals. Basically bands should stay far far away and guests should approach with caution. I have nothing good to say.
CLASSY ATMOSPHERE WTIH A GREAT SOUND SYSTEM AND WELL TRAINED STAFF MAKES FOR A GREAT NIGT OUT... – I went to the club on Saturday night to see "Sacred Fire" a Santana cover band. Very well organized and no hassels getting in or getting drinks or food. Sound system was excellent and I had a great time. The place is well run and I would reccomend it to anyone who is tired of makeshift clubs who are unorganized and have crappy sound systems.
Great Music and Food on Saturday at BBs on the walk – I had been there before and can't say I had a good or bad time, I was in a rush to see a movie. This time I was thrilled to be seeing my favorite band South Border. Well let me say, the service and the food was better than I expected. I was also surprised at the light show and flat screens that decorated there walls. Over all I had an exceptional time and will go again.
Don't waste your money – We had made reservations for ten people. We arrived on time and were seated at our reserved table. We had just ordered our dinner, when we were approached by the manager, Johnny. He wanted to move our party to another table because we all weren't sitting at our table. Our food hadn't arrived yet, so folks were at the bar, outside smoking or in the restroom. He said he was moving us because our entire party hadn't arrived. We didn't think it was mandatory to sit at the table we paid to reserve. So he moved us to a booth that was designed to seat 8. Those that couldn't sit in the booth were standing up or kneeling to eat on the outside of the booth. The food was cold and substandard, same as our treatment there. There was no silverware and the manager was rude.
If I had not been there with a group of friends to watch a friend perform I would have left and not spent a dime. I won't be back.
BB King's Blues Club = RIPOFF! – I went to B.B. King's Los Angeles Club and Restaurant on August 28, 2006.
We ate catfish and fried chicken, and had 4 drinks.
For this we were charged $169.74.
The service staff charged us 2 different prices for the exact same drinks, and added 4 drinks we did not order or recieve.
We were told that the venue was out of iced tea, yet we were charged for it anyway.
The service staff charged us for items eaten by the party sitting next to us.
A 15% Gratuity was added on top of the total bill.
This does not include the $10.00 gratuity we left for the server.
There was also a "Mystery Charge" of $18.29.
When I contacted the Office Manager, he refused to indentify himself by his full name, and told me that he was not required to do so. He also told me that his supervisor would not be available at any time to speak to me.
Avoid This Place Like The Plague.
The food is below sub-standard.
The service is poor and incompetent.
The service staff is rude and self-important.
