Editorial Review for Bar Marmont – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
The Chateau's decor is exquisite, with a bar bathed in red light, tables nestled beneath white lamps and pseudo monarch butterflies meticulously applied to the ceiling. A stuffed peacock is perched in a corner of the room, bearing witness to thousands of legendary meetings and Hollywood icons at play. Just as the neighboring Chateau Marmont hotel attracts some of the nation's best-known stars, Bar Marmont draws a top-shelf crowd. Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp and Lindsay Lohan have all spent evenings here.

hey, i've been reading some of the negative feedback for the bar here. however, i go on monday nights, and it's very tame, and always fine to casually walk in, have dinner, or order the drink. they have live dj's there spinning really interesting music, and the staff was really cool. valet is pretty steep but you can always park around the streets. definitely worth a second chance.
Pros: mondays are chill, and good music
Cons: expensive valet

This place stinks. After leaving another bar on Sunset we stopped by Bar Marmont for a drink before calling it a night. The guy at the door was extremely rude and so was the alleged manager/owner. They only wanted to let select members of our party in as if we were just going to abandon the others on the street, despite the fact it was completely dead inside. They are complete snobs and there are much better places to party on the Sunset Strip without the pretentiousness and attitude. Don't bother going as it's not worth the hype. This place is very lame!!!!!
