Ides of March Madness.
The Ides of March Madness.
We all know March is the month of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, and March 15th, The Ides of March, the day Julius Caesar was assassinated, but there is another growing popular event that occurs to continue the Madness of March. March is the no. 1 month for Vasectomies. Most doctors offices average around 20 / month, March’s average is 5 times higher with over 100 each March. One theory is, it gives men a valid excuse to sit around recouping during the NCAA tournament – but that theory gets nixed because surveys show that most appointments are made by women. The second theory is it allows ample recovery to not keep a man down during summer vacations. Some doctors offices even offer a free Pizza with every procedure. Free Pizza now that’s a great deal any way you slice it.
Not quite must-see status, but it's the city's only major TV studio to invite the public inside..
In Short
Most big-time shows are shot on other lots ("ER" and "Friends" were filmed nearby at Warner Bros., for example), so unless you're a huge "Tonight Show" fan or "Days of Our Lives" junkie, this may not be the tour for you. Scripted docent-speak is accompanied by peeks at wardrobe rooms and soundstages. The pinnacle is a visit to the "Tonight Show" theater and a look at Jay Leno's parking space.
Tour is Open. The studio shut down tour operations after Sept. 11, 2001. Thankfully, NBC has re-instated the and offer the public a glimpse inside the facilities.
