In Short – Early twentieth century automotive culture spawned an architectural style that's come to be known as California Crazy. It's all about witty sculptural buildings that attract the ever-roving eye of the motorist, trying to convince him to stop and buy something. The roads were once dotted with buildings that looked like owls, ducks, ice buckets, wigwams, flowerpots and other unlikely objects. By 1953, the style was pretty old-fashioned, but that didn't stop the anonymous designer of Randy's from popping a 60-foot crumb donut on top of this humble stand. – –

If you like donuts, you must come here. It's in a sort of seedy neighborhood now, but the donuts are all consistently good. The buttermilk bar is the best I've ever had. Highly recommended.
- Pros: Consistent quality on all menu items
- Cons: Bad neighborhood
Worth the trip!
