smooth chocolate, hard most donuts, huge windows, best buttermilk bar, recommended highly, best chocolatefrosted, like donuts

Known for their iconic giant donut sign, this LA staple really serves up tasty hot and fresh donuts! The glazed raised donut is incredible. Or how about a maple bar? Whatever donut you are in the mood for Randy's got you covered.
Not As Fresh Anymore. You have to bend down and stick your head through uncomfortably positioned windows to see donuts. They want you to order based on written menu instead of visual inspection. Huge windows are totally covered with junk advertisements. Can't see donuts. Last two times I went donuts were not fresh...tasted like they'd been out in open for 12 hours or longer. Has ownership changed from 2-3 years ago? I won't return after two recent disappointing trips. Also, workers act as if they couldn't care less for your business.
BearClaws!.
BEARCLAWS!
I dont have much to say about this place except that its hard for me to drive by this place on Mancester and th3 405 and not turn off for one of their BEARCLAWS!
sweet, crispy, with gooey apple filling. *SWOON*
BEARCLAWS.
Legendary, and worth the trip. If you like donuts, you must come here. It's in a sort of seedy neighborhood now, but the donuts are all consistently good. The buttermilk bar is the best I've ever had. Highly recommended.
Sixty-foot doughnut draws motorists for miles..
In Short
Early twentieth century automotive culture spawned an architectural style that's come to be known as California Crazy. It's all about witty sculptural buildings that attract the ever-roving eye of the motorist, trying to convince him to stop and buy something. The roads were once dotted with buildings that looked like owls, ducks, ice buckets, wigwams, flowerpots and other unlikely objects. By 1953, the style was pretty old-fashioned, but that didn't stop the anonymous designer of Randy's from popping a 60-foot crumb donut on top of this humble stand.
Worth the trip!. Staying in LA. I took the trip to see the famous donut sign from the Tom Petty video. It was neat to see and the Donuts were great.
Best chocolate-frosted raised donut I've had. The donut is excellent and the chocolate is rich, dark, and smooth. I would never have imagined that I'd find such good donuts at what is essentially a freeway off-ramp. I've been several times and will go again.
