Locals lovingly refer to the PDC as the "Blue Whale" (the green building was added just a few years ago).
The Extras:
Dozens of charity events are held here throughout the year, all design-related. "Divine Design," a bargain shopping blowout, and "Wine, Dine and Design," a sampling of L.A.'s best, are usually sure bets.

You don't have to be "trade" to browse the aisles for a quick lesson on what's in vogue and in demand but you'll have to show a resale license if you want to buy.
