Good coffee shop, great location. Embarrassingly horrible service!

The waitress overcharged one customer, then turned to our table and said "You have to leave someone is waiting for this table" while we weren't even finished with our food.

For more than 70 years, locals and celebs have crowded around the tiny tables and vintage counter to fill up on home-style fare. Breakfast specialties include the egg quesadilla loaded with cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon and ham. Ample portions of French toast are served with real maple syrup. Lunch selections range from meat loaf to stuffed baked potatoes to crisp and cheesy mushroom melts. A kids' menu features favorites like burgers and milk shakes.

Low-key and delicious. I highly recommend the meatloaf sandwich. The server suggested getting it on toasted sourdough, and she was absolutely right--the meatloaf is tender and richly flavored, and the sourdough made an excellent contrast. I would definitely come here again.

Traditional Coffee Shop in BH. I often stop for a bite to eat here, when I 'm shopping in Beverly Hills. The service is fast and the prices are reasonable - typical coffee shop fare. The shop is a bit small, though. But if you want to "escape" from Beverly Hills for a few minutes, sit down at the counter and order a tuna salad sandwich. Brighton a nice alternative to the more formal restaurants surrounding it.
