favorite place, comfortable couch, extremely poor customer service, comfortable atmosphere, tasty goodies, big thisismydayjob, friendly service
Beware of FRAUD by the cashiers.
Be extremely careful when counting change. They will insist it's the right amount.
Price is different on the same product depending on the cashier. Doesn't give the right amount of change back. BEWARE.
There's no place like Jennifer's.
Nestled around the corner from the uber-popular Aroma Cafe sits what has grown to be my favorite cafe. In Los Angeles, too often I've been greeted with big city skepticism and "this-is-my-day-job, I'm-going-to-be-rich-and-famous" customer service when seeking out my daily caffeine fix. Hailing from the Midwest, my heart yearned for the "down home" feel an attitude of a neighborhood haunt. The vibe at Jennifer's is convivial, welcoming, and warm. Whether you're one of the regulars sitting on the couches around the coffee table or writing your next screenplay on two-top near the European villa-inspired fountain, Jennifer's will serve a heaping helping of caffeine, tasty goodies, and sincere smiles.
Although I do love Aroma's baked goods and lunch fare, Jennifer's wins over my affections and taste buds when it comes to beverages. Whereas Aroma's coffee often suffers from a "burnt" taste, Jennifer's is always smooth, no matter which of the large variety of "on tap" brews you select. Their bulk coffee variety rivals any gourmet coffee store I have shopped. Finally, as a major consumer of tea, I love that they always more "already-brewed" teas available than Coffee Bean.
Certainly, I visit Jennifer's for the drinks, but I always stay because it feels like home.
What a fabulous place to feel at home!. It was so refreshing to walk into a neighborhood coffee shop and be treated like I was an old friend. The comfortable atmosphere and friendly service made the coffee and food even more delicious. Sit down on a comfortable couch and read the paper, or just people watch. This is my new favorite place for morning coffee and and vanilla blended for a great afternoon treat.
Often poor customer service. This place has generally a good atmosphere, but the customer service has been extremely poor on several occasions that I've visited. The counter staff has been very rude to me on the last couple of occasions that I've asked to pay for the computer service there. Additionally, the brand of coffee that they serve, Gavina, is poor-tasting in my opinion, but that's just my opinion.
