The Scene – Black-and-white photographs of old Ireland hang next to vintage beer and cigarette ads at this Irish pub, where bartenders have been known to pour a thick pint of Guinness with a clover imprinted into the top of the beer's thick head. A portion of this generous-sized bar is reserved for dart players and pool sharks, while air-hockey players stick to the back room. Arrive early to reserve "The Office," furnished with two couches and a coffee table; it's the perfect place to kick back and enjoy a view of the hardy drinkers at the tables and booths in the bar area. Not A Real Irish Pub
by Gavman
Typical fake Irish pub. Called to see if they had Ireland vs France World Cup qualifier and not only did they have no idea what I was talking about, but after explaining they said oh ,if it's on TV,wow. You have "Irish pub" in your name, what a joke.
- Pros: serve beer
- Cons: Fake Irish pub
The Most Relaxed and Decent Bar on the Westside
by theroboticdan
I've never had more fun at a bar than I've had at Sunday Night Karaoke at Sonnys. Everyone is really friendly and inviting, the whole bar sings along and it's all set in a Boston style sports bahhh.
Sox games pack the house, so make sure to call ahead if you want to attend on those days.
Tap selection is decent, darts are free, the blackboard in the bathroom is full of banter and they recently nabbed a whole bunch of widescreen TVs.
Being a restaurant too, they don't card at the door, only at the bar. The food is fine.
No hard alcohol, but wine and cider for the few who can't enjoy beer!
- Pros: Cozy feel
- Cons: No hard alcohol
Terrible food, rude waitress and no liquor!?!?
by lmo1823
Went with a friend to trivia night last night. She really likes the trivia night-- claims last night was an "off night" for the bar in general. All I know is that the waitress was rude, the food was really, really bad and they only serve beer, wine and some other sort of "rice" alcohol that the waitress wouldn't (or couldn't) explain to me. I am from New England and this is just a poor, poor copy of the real thing. Won't go back unless my friend makes me.
- Cons: Really bad food (even for bar food), no hard alcohol, just tacky in general
