I went after a hike with 5 other people. We had our dog and I wanted to sit outside. All the spots were taken and they said they would bring out another table. We sat down at our table and one of the employees came out and said we could not sit there. We were more than happy to wait for a table. The staff told it it would be 45 minutes and we decided to eat across the street. I asked the employee for a parking stamp and they pointed me by the register.
We ate across the street. After we were finished, we went to the parking attendant. The parking man named Nester became extremely rude and violent in nature. Nester said we did not eat there and he would not accept our validation.
I then asked to talk to the manager. The manager Walter was not at the restaurant and no one was in charge. Noir the waitress did not want to give us her name. I did not get her name because she mumbled it. The parking attendant then became violent in nature and said we had to pay. There was no manager on duty and no one was in charge.
How did I know where the parking stamp was unless someone told me? Oh right I usually go in the back of restaurants and look behind the counter.
This service was absolutely disgusting. They also used foul language and were shouting at the customer. I will never eat at this establishment again.
As a leader with 15,000 members of the Los Angeles Hiking on twitter and meetup, I will sent a letter to all members never eat here again.
good food but dropping the ball on details.
i've been eating here for years due to their good food. but some of the wait staff really disappoints.
recently i've gone gluten free and for the life of me i can't figure out why they don't have some form of wheat free bread available here as they cater to health conscious and wheat free bread is readily available. i've suggested this to them but they don't seem to be hearing me, instead they refer me to their corn tortillas and it's just not the same. so i'm marking them down for this reason -- gluten free bread is a simple thing with an easy fix.
Consistently Awesome. Never disappoints. If you enjoy healthy, good-for-you type food, then this is your place. The menu is extensive and the environment is perfect for dates or meeting a group of friends/family.
Delicious and healthy, with great vegan options.
A Votre Sante was my go-to restaurant when I worked down the street from it, and not just because it was close. I love their food because it is fresh, mostly organic, healthy, and they have a great vegan selection.
The first time I went here I was shocked to discover that all their desserts are vegan - you wouldn't know it by looking at them. Their berry white cake is out of this world! I also love their soups, especially because they come with vegan corn bread muffins.
My favorite entrée is the Dragontail - it is so satisfying. I've attempted to make it at home, using the same ingredients, and failed - don't know how they do it so well.
The Mediterranean Platter here is one of the best I've ever had. Each of the components (humus, eggplant, tabuli, and baba ganuj) are full of flavor and filling - you could even have it as an entrée. The pita bread is perfect - very soft and fresh.
Editorial Review. This cozy Brentwood spot offers affordable vegetarian and vegan options among international dishes to appeal to the area's health-conscious crowd.
Healthy, Clean eating. I was somewhat hesitant to bring one of my collegues to A Votre Sante, thinking she might not be too excited about healthy food. Luckily, I was pleasantly suprised to discover she was a vegetarian and this place was ideal. Though the restaurant looked like it was still somewhat under construction (still spackle on the walls), the food surpassed the appearance: I ordered the falafel plate, which was full of pita, hummus, tabouli, and well seasoned falafel and was fairly inexpensive. I also got the side of cornbread, a medium sized loaf that wasn't overly sweet but very satisfying. The restaurant was busy and a little loud, but the servers managed the crowd well; I will certainly return here.
Very Poor Customer Service.
If you are a person who wants to have a relaxed meal with pleasant service - avoid A Votre Sante.
Arrived at 11:30am on a Saturday morning to eat by myself and read though some work papers. Ordered an egg-white dish with blackened salmon, corn tortilla, black beans, guacamole and asparagus. I also ordered a decaf coffee and a glass of water. After several minutes I asked for my coffee a second time and then a third. Wasn't too annoyed yet. Meal came and food was good. Kept reading through my papers as I ate. When done I was asked if I wanted anything else and I said, "more decaf please". She brought the refill with the bill ($16.10) and I put out a $20. She took the money and didn't bring back any change. I thought it was a bit presumptious that I was going to give a 24% tip. I didn't say anything because I actually WAS going to give her the $3.90 - I just find it strange when people presume it.
She (Anna) then immediately asked if she could get me anything else. Given that she has asked 3 minutes prior and that I still had an 80% full cup of decaf in front of me - it was obvious to me that she was trying to rush me along. I just smiled and said "no thank you". Then she returned again after another 3 minutes and asked again. I was embarassed at how rude that was but I didn't want to get flustered. She then returned AGAIN and said, "I'm sorry, sir, but would you mind leaving because there are people waiting outside." I am HYPER sensitive to places that are too crowded and don't like when people linger uncessarily, but this was extreme. I looked outside and there were two sets of people waiting - each with 4 or 5 guests and I was sitting at a 2-top.
Boy was I irritated. They have my $16.10 for a single breakfast and Anna can keep my $3.90 tip. But for the sake of 5 minutes they have lost a customer that would have otherwise come back. If you are a person who wants to have a relaxed meal with pleastant service - avoid A Votre Sante.
Yummy, healthy and casual. I love this place. The food is healthy and the rice and other ingredients are organic. The prices are VERY reasonable too. I love the Vegetarian Tostada with blackened salmon and the veggie burrito with chicken. The desserts are dairy free and so the they aren't the most tasty things but they are somewhat guilt free. I also like that the soups are cream free and come with cute little corn bread muffins. The only two complaints is that they don't seem to have very good temperature control and sometimes it seems a little under staffed. In general there are only two servers working and although the place is small, when its packed a third server would be nice.
Deliciously Healthy. Food is served on huge plates. ALways plenty to eat. I highly recommend the special tofu mushroom napoleon. It's covered with a delicous gravy and very fresh and brightly-colored vegetables swimming around in it. Service was great. Nice wooden tables. Nice quiet neighborhood. Had the treat of seeing George Carlin at a nearby table.
Healthy and Good.
A trendy little place in Brentwood that serves healthy fare. Always busy, service is quick, and the food served is healthy, but good sized portions. Egg whites, brown rice, fresh juices and coffee. Breakfast on the weekend is particularly popular.
Tiny space, and can be noisy when full.
