The Scene – Spread over 17 formally landscaped acres, this inn is an ideal and affordable alternative to the impersonal chain hotels. The grounds are peppered with 18 European-style fountains, ivy-lined trellis walkways, streams, floral ponds, gardens and a picturesque rose arbor. The bucolic setting is favored by both business and leisure groups, and those spending their days in the crush of the city enjoy evening strolls through the beautifully lit landscape. – – The Details – Some of the charming guest rooms and suites feature fireplaces, vaulted ceilings and…
STAY AWAY!!

My expensive leather jacket was stolen from the room closet. The manager refused to take my phone calls. Her secretary told me it was a Housekeeping issue. When I called Housekeeping no one answered the phone.
The hotel manager (and Summitt Hotels) refused to take any responsibility.
Summitt Hotels told me that they only license their name to the hotel, they are not responsible for anything esle.
- Cons: Stolen leather jacket
Treated very poorly by management and staff
by hoteladvisor at Citysearch
We have known about this hotel for quite some time and finally thought we would come down to see how it is for a romantic getaway weekend.
Once we entered the lobby to check in, we were treated so poorly that the woman (with the accent) at the front desk made my fiancee cry out of frustration and sadness that this woman caused.
The reason was that they insisted that we did not make a reservation and would not check records then finally DID and found the reservation.
Once we arrived in the room, it was NOT the room we paid for but the lowest quality room. We reserved a suite.
This angered me so much that I had to sort this out with management.
The manager came out and apologized and offered gift certificates to the neighboring restaurant and more. we did not receive anything. Period. They outright lied to us. Remember we were paying a lot of money for our room. They did not care a single bit.
They sent us to another room which had not been maintained and we called management and they came and did something, but was actually nothing.
We ended up letting this all go, so we could enjoy our weekend.
We do not recommend this hotel if you would like to ensure a customer-oriented environment.
The next day, the tub still was clogged after a second attempt to get it unclogged through a new staff member as the one with the accent was not there at the time. SHE did indeed send us a bottle of wine and apologies for our troubles.
Property is lovely and worth visiting, but not if you believe you deserve good service. Hopefully they will read this and change their ways IMMEDIATELY.
- Pros: Property is beautiful. Golf nearby. Location is excellent.
- Cons: The staff was very discourtious. And is willing to lie to guests.
Great Wedding Host Hotel
by soydorf at Citysearch
My husband and I got married at a vineyard/ranch that did not have a hotel. We decided to use the Westlake Village Inn as our host hotel because of its Napa Valley like charm. The rooms are excellent, the restaurant and the bar are great and generally speaking the service is good. I would have given them 5 stars, but I felt they could have been a bit more responsive to my phone calls as we did have a block of 38 rooms and I think that they could have given us some kind of comp on our room considering we brought them so much business. It really is a great hotel to host groups. They have fantastic grounds and the setting is beautiful. It is much different than the traditional Hyatt down the street.
If you are getting married, I suggest getting the Deluxe Golfview Suite. The room is huge and if you get your hair and makeup done there, you can fit all of your bridesmaids (I had 10, plus a mother and 2 flower girls) in the room quite comfortably. Before you leave, just have housekeeping come in and turn over the room so that it is ready for your wedding night.
- Pros: Napa Valley Like Setting, Quaint Hotel
