Beautiful views, trails go on forever!. You can either pay $5 at the parking lot, $100 for an annual pass, or nothing at all if you don't mind walking an extra quarter mile (you're there to walk anyway, right?). Most people just go up to the waterfall and back, so that's the most crowded trail. For something a bit more challenging, hike up Sunset Ridge where you climb 1000ft in the first mile! The view at the summit is beautiful! If you want to keep going, a little ways further there's Skull Rock where you can stop and look around. Another high-point is the radio relay tower, where you can look out and see downtown LA, Santa Monica, and even Redondo beach. That trail keeps going and is known as the Temescal Ridge Fireroad, and it's LONG. I've been to the junction which is almost 8 miles from the Gateway and have had to turn back from the heat or running low on water or whatever. At the Junction you will find a bathroom but there are no other facilites along the trails; only back at the Gateway. I absolutely love it here and the further you go in, the less crowded it gets.

Best 360 views! Waterfalls and creeks.. You would wonder how a crowded city like ours could look so peaceful from atop. You can see from Catalina Island to Downtown and beyond. You will walk under tree canopies and under the sun. And on your way down, you can refresh your sight walking next to a creek with small waterfalls. The only downsize is that my dog can't enjoy all these beauty with me. That would make it the perfect hike.

Temescal Canyone Hike. This trail is much nicer than Runyan Park! It is a lot cleaner, less crowded, and a longer hike. The scenery is beautiful and it's a great work out! There is a lovely waterfall and creek. Great views of the city and beaches.

Perfect Family Outing. I highly recommend going first thing in the morning.

This cyn hosts several pathed, marked routes to choose from.

I favor the 2.6 mile half circle walk that takes you up to the top of the mountain for the scenic coastal view, then around the waterfall and out.

Nice easy walk. This is a really nice Sunday afternoon walk that is great if you time it with sunset. Remember to bring a flashlight for the walk down as it can get pretty dark.
