great place, fast service, incredibly slow night service, highly recommended bbq, not very pleasant atmosphere, especially liked beef bulgogi, not terrible kalbi beef

Perfect for late night sobering up food. Menu has pictures to help those who aren't familiar with korean food. Great for people watching.

One of the best late night spots, order up a bowl of soon tofu and enjoy the warmth. Recommend you go with the pork!

Recently remodeled hot tofu shop in Koreatown helps late night or cold weather cravings with steaming bowls of tofu, egg, shrimp and meat, plus sides of bulgogi and dumplings for hungrier stomachs.
horrible service!!! s.
horrible security! unbelievable i am waiting on a couple of friends parked my car and decided to give my dog a walk since im waitibg for a few friends to arrive i noticed the security guy there and decided as a courtesy to let him know im just giving my dog a walk waiting on friends so he knows im a customer. man big big mistake he gives me so much problems and says no so i went inside to try to get a manager no manager was available so an emploee was so kind enough to translate to the security guy but the guy still didnt agree and in the end asked me to move my car to back of parkng lot and asked to wait inside unbelievable i told the girl why does it matter if im waiting inside or walking my dog the time is the same just horrible experience these people are unorganized lack of management poor customer
service! there are so many other restaurants in ktown that have much better service and r very happy to have your business
what a wacky place. foods good amazingly reasonable abd served very hot.... the big downside is eating under neon lights and that there is no liquor
The best. Love the food and the atmosphere here. Definitely come here after a night at the clubs you will not regret.
Korean. Very very good food here. And it's open late so you can get bomb food after a late night out. The Tofu soup is the best! and the bimbim bop!
Great after hours place to eat.
Not that I have perfect grammar, it's funny to see the little mistakes asian establishments try to make using the english language.
Great place to grab a bite to eat if you want somewhere to eat late at night or after bar hopping.......
There combination meals are great, and they lie about MSG..... I have a mild allergic reaction to MSG in large amounts and clearly state that I cannot have MSG " which is stated on there placemat", yet the dish contains MSG. They could have put it in the side dishes, but they really load it up. Look back in the kitchen and you will see a huge vat of magic white power.
Also, I ate there once and found a dead fly in my food. If you read their placemat, they promise to deliver a meal that is prepared with cleanliness.
Love it!
yum yum late at night. this place is so good to get food, especially late at night when you dont want to eat at a diner and eat something really bad for you! get quality food at all hours
Yuck.. I am an adventurous eater and I love tofu, but I just can't recommend BCD tofu. The restaurant has a "B" and an off smell inside. The kimchi is kinda cheap looking and tasting. There is waaay too much tofu in the soup for even a tofu lover like me. The kalbi beef short ribs weren't terrible, but they weren't good. My stomach felt off after I went here.
spicey MMmmm tofu. this place is really good. spicey tofu ummm fast service because they have the push button table call things.
Not so 'Well Being'.
I love Korean food. I just can't eat it all the time because my body has a very bad reaction to MSG. I jumped at the chance to eat at BCD because my friend told me they had no MSG 'Well Being' items on their menu. It seems that it's just for show. Out of the 3 visits, I got sick 3 times. The first visit I figured she forgot. The second the waitress changed and maybe she grabbed the wrong dish. The third, I specifically explained in English and Korean that I was very alergic to MSG and she assured me with an 'okay no problem.' Folks, when someone says they are allergic to something and to leave it out, leave it out, because they will know if it wasn't left out. Fortunetly, for them, I am not one who rushes to the courts every time something like this happens, but one day they will run into someone who does. So please, if no MSG is advertised, make it so. Simple as that.
The food tasted great, but for those of you who are allergic to MSG, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
Good Tofu soup. I go here quite often, at least once a week. Never failed to disappoint although I just went there today and I felt the broth was very watered down compared to the other times. The yellow croaker is always a little salty but always tasty! I will go back next week, I am pretty sure its just this time which is bad, Their squid is hella awesome and their panchan is always yummy! I love their Kimchee, and its always spicy enough! :) Oh! and their Pork Bulgolgi is really good too! For the Combo I think its not worth eating it at night, rather silly to pay $2 more for the same thing just because its dinner.
