Okay, so technically it's a steakhouse, but the kitschy decor and island theme is what makes it a true blue tiki haunt. An old-time landmark left over from the heyday of Polynesian-themed bars and restaurants back in the late 1950s, the restaurant moved to Brand Boulevard in 1980, and that's when the tiki sparks really started to fly. Take a look at the hostess table, where you'll see an original velvet painting by Tahitian artist Edgar Leeteg. You can't miss the outrigger hanging above the main dining room, the tropical murals on the walls, and the large salt-water aquarium and duo of fresh water aquariums at the bar. As for the menu (serving brunch, lunch and dinner), expect a feast from land, sea and air--and exotic cocktails with price tags that thankfully harken to an earlier time. They just don't make 'em like this anymore.

Damon's is a good place to go for Steak. The menu is smaller than I would prefer. The decor needs some updating. The food and drinks are very good, they do not skimp on food or drinks.

Damons used to be a family favorite but it is not what it used to be. The tired interior and uninspired menu needs up dating. We often go out of tradition, but, we leave disappointed.

Damon's is the best place for a petite filet that is out of this world! Their Mai-Tai's are huge, and I love the polynesian decor and the colorful salt water tank with its dazzling fish. A little on the pricey side.
