Editorial Review for Crazy Fish – by Scott Weier

The Scene
It's not the sleek sushi bar you'd expect to find in Beverly Hills, but that's part of Crazy Fish's charm. The decor at this non-traditional fish house reflects an era when pastel colors were all the rage and it made sense to stencil angelfish on the wall. While Westside trendsetters have outgrown bangle earrings and turquoise high-tops, they still flock for Crazy Fish's inexpensive sushi.

The Food
Whimsical sushi rolls take center stage. The Oy Vey! Sushi Roll and Beverly Hills Roll are good for giggles, but when servings are this large, it's best to go with the tried and true. The spicy tuna roll is a hit, its core of lightly fried tuna adding texture to the piquant roll. The Jewish Roll's garlic-marinated onion overpowers the salmon, making the sushi two parts novelty, one part delicacy. Sashimi appears hastily prepared but is high quality and tasty.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! If you like to pay to be treated bad, this is the place to go. Sushi chef's have a real bad attitude. Food is good, but not worth the treatement.

Pros: Food

Cons: Rude staff

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

This whimsical sushi bar lures an attractive crowd despite its far-from-chic interior.  See the full editorial review.
