lovely views of the pacific. this is a nice place for a date or for just relaxing. you could even bring your mom here and she would like it. unless your dad is also there at the bar hitting on the 21 year olds! ha! it sort of has a reputation for older men picking up younger women here, more than most bars anyway. the views are beautiful, the service smart. drinks can be pricey. you can order food too. sometimes there is nice live music.

Tips for The Veranda Bar at Casa Del Mar Hotel

Expense accounts a plus!. I went here with a bunch of girls from work on a Wednesday and when we got to the valet, it looked like there was a line to get in. But once we got out, we saw that it was just paparazzi waiting for someone to arrive. Long story short, Julianne Moore and Carmela from the Sopranos were there that night and made the night even more exciting. The place is beautiful, the food is great and the drinks were perfect. For the six of us, with several appetizers and 4 rounds of drinks, the bill was close to $500 - but okay because it was all expensed! Liked it so much that i'd go even if it wasn't paid for. Check it out!

Beautiful Location. With an upscale, yet relaxed atmosphere this is a nice place to bring a date or an out of town guest for a cocktail. While everything else is pleasant, I do suggest that you avoid the food. Given the surroundings, I expected more. Stick with the drinks and eat somewhere else.
