The Scene
With its prime Downtown Disney location, just steps from the theme park entrances, this upscale cafe is bustling with activity. Sit at one of the few indoor tables and savor the aroma of fresh-baked goodies, or dine alfresco and watch park-goers stroll by.
The Food
Founder Nancy Silverton's artisanal breads take center stage with bon-vivant sandwiches. The hearty flavors of roasted zucchini and eggplant are complemented by a rosemary roll grilled to crusty perfection. A warm onion roll with salami, ham and melting provolone is Italian-esque comfort food. The fresh, rustic fare continues with a handful of main courses, including an artfully piled roasted chicken with potatoes. Silverton's pastries are beginning to rival her sourdough in popularity--you'll understand why with one bite of the egg-and-butter enriched brioche, topped with a dreamy mound of sherbet and served with creme fraiche and raspberry compote.

Whenever I visited Downtown Disney, I'd always pass by this large-scale bakery, but I never really popped in until recently. I ordered a panini, which was melted to perfection. And I couldn't resist getting some( t of their store-baked breads (the aroma got to me...), and I ordered their sourdough baguette which was still warm from the oven. I loved it.

The ham and cheese panini was very good, as well as the mixed green salad. The Angus beef hamburger was very good but expensive, $13 with a salad. Dining is casual, outdoor patio area. The bread is quite good but nothing beats Boudin bread.
Pros: Good Angus beef burgers and panini
Cons: Outdoor dining only, not enough shade from the sun even with large umbrellas
