WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!!!

I have wanted to go to this place for years. I finally decided to go there on my b-day with my 2 young children. Upon arrival I asked if we can be seated on the patio for lunch, (80% of the tables were available). The hostess looked straight into my eyes and said "NO"!!! Oh my, I did not know whether to leave or stay as I am a single mom and was really splurging that day and really wanted to spend special time with my children in this place on my bday. Well, some dumb mexican server came to me since I did not take no for an answer and said"I will see what I can do". I thought this is more like it. Then he asks me "How long do you think you will be"? I was speechless at this point as even Denny's treats their customers better. Then they finally sat us and my kids felt so stressed that they wanted to leave. I talked my kids into moving inside so they were more comfortable. I sat there wondering all through the meal, why I am still here.

Pathetic experience, maybe I should have brought my LV bag and worn my Rolex and would have better treatment.

HORRIBLE!

Our lunch experience was bad from start to finish. Our waiter was no where to be found after he took our order. I asked for a straw 3 times, from 3 different people. I ordered the special - Halibut Fish and Chips. Yes, it's a deep fried fish, but when I took a bite, grease was dripping out, and puddled on my plate. It was soaked in oil, almost like the oil they used wasn't heated enough and absorbed all the grease. There were 4 tiny pieces - similar to the size of chicken nuggets, priced at $18. When I finally got up and had to go look for someone, I found a bus boy walking around. I asked for ketchup for my fries - I was told they did not have any. What? We asked for a small side order of pasta noodles for our 5 year old - it came in a small bowl about the size of your fist, they charged $12.50. We never saw our waiter again until he came back with the bill. Food - awful, especially for their high prices. Service - unacceptable. Will most definitely NOT be going back again!

One of the best crudos I have ever tried!

I have been going to this place for many years, like every three months and let me tell you, it is now my favorite place. I was there on one occassion and I noticed that some people took a little longer to order, then the chef came out to that table. After that, the chef went inside and a little after, I see them bringing the dishes for that table. I couldn't help it, I got up and ask those people about their dishes. They were having a pasta, that is cooked and put inside a wheel of cheese. They bring the wheel of cheese (it looks kind of heavy to carry) to the table and serve it right in front of you. It looks and is delicious!!!! They said to me that they love to eat at Tra Di Noi. From the appetizers to the dessert it is very good. They said that they have more than one favorite dish so I decided to try some of the dishes they were having, including Crudo and of course the pasta. It is prepapered by the chef and he always makes something new and different. Ever since I tried it, I just think about going back! I definitely recommend it!!!

• Pros: Food is exquisite, A+.
• Cons: Kind of hard to find parking, service a bit confusing sometimes.

Best Italian in Malibu, Great Service

Best italian food in Malibu, hands down. Once or maybe twice I have gotten an "off" dish, but I go there all the time and it rarely ever fails. The service has only been iffy maybe a few times, and I have been there probably 20 or so. Overall, GREAT place. Not everyone can be 100% all the time, but these guys are 100% about 98% of the time. This place is my favorite restaurant in Malibu.

• Pros: Food
• Cons: I always leave over stuffed (not really a con for them, I guess more of a personal flaw!)

Italian done right

So pleasant, the restaurant is small, but the patio and the ambience is great. Food has always been delicious, pasta and pizza perfect, salads are yummy and can be shared. Great coffee and desserts too. A good selection of wine. Staff is very attentive and nice. Great for people watching. It's a treat after a day at the beach or shopping near by.

• Pros: Yummy Italian done right, Perfect Salads
• Cons: Parking is a premium to find, If you have to wait for a table - it seems like forever
