Who says you can only get a taste of Wine Country up north? Long considered a neighborhood gem (the restaurant celebrated its ten-year anniversary in 2010), Napa Valley Grille is where everyone from nearby UCLA faculty to celebrating families and romantic couples head for rustic, Wine Country-inspired cuisine. Although the space is enormous--an exhibition kitchen and "wine tasting table" lead the way to the main dining room anchored by a roaring fireplace, two spacious private rooms, a full bar area and roomy outdoor lounge replete with heat lamps and large flatscreen--it somehow feels cozy…

Really great place

Pretty awesome food though I wouldn't get the red pepper soup. The turkey bolognese was to die for! It reminded me of Ali grea in malibu! My waiter was great, he remembered everything and was really nice and explanatory. I would definitely go there again.

Pros: Great atmosphere, nice waiters, clean, great bolognese and lovely tea.

Chic trendy late night happy hour spot

I went to Napa Valley Grille on a Fri night with 2 friends and was surprised to find out they had a happy hour going on. Their happy hour times can be found on their website.

We sat in the back patio on couches and lounge chairs which was a really nice atmosphere. I had their orchard apple sangria I believe, and we ordered a pitcher which was only $12 and definitely worth it. The mac and cheese off the happy hour menu was extremely delicious, the fish taco was very tasty but small (they only give you 1) and their slider was also pretty small but not bad. I loved the chic atmosphere, lounging on the outside patio in nice weather. They had a great selection of drinks and small bites to eat for their happy hour and I will definitely come back again. The prices were very appealing as well. The service was good, with the waiter checking up on us every once in a while to see if we needed anything. Next time, I will definitely order a serving of the mac n cheese plate for myself! =)

Very Impressive !

Love this place more and more over the last year or two. I don't cook so I eat out for almost all meals and since I live in Beverly Hills, I frequent the Bev Hills/Westwood areas.

This place dropped off my radar years back because the food seemed mundane and the place lacked luster. Not true anymore !

I LOVE this place. Great place not only to take a significant "other" to, but I also go alone or with freinds for cocktails...they even get a great bar crowd for sports events (Go Lakers).

The restaurant is comfortable and I love the different elevations and viiews for people watching. Even though the bar needs an overhaul of hardware, it's the most fun place to hang out in the place... TV's... cocktails and they'll serve happy hour food (great app menu.. creative and inexpensive) or full dinner...

That being said, check out the back patio on a nice night or Sunday brunch. Smart move adding couches and heaters out there. The brunch is worth a trip alone... it's tapas style so basically you create your own meal from a great variety of breakfast foods...crab eggs bene... lemon curd french toast... Really good value but even better, you get to eat what you want... almost like your personalized sampler platter ... Well worth going..

I thought I'd miss the (Hamlet) Gardens when it closed (across the street), but I don't. Napa keeps stepping up it's game to dwarf the competition... and don't even think about eating at Palomino .. a drink Maybe but the food isn't in the same league.

If in the Westwood area, Napa is a Must. If not in the area, still worth the trip.

  • Cons: Brunch is only on Sundays..Too good to wait 6 days for
