Even novice hikers can take in nature's beauties on this easygoing loop.. In Short
At its springtime peak, this trail's rolling hills are blanketed with a rainbow-hued mass of colors emanating from California poppies, astors, blue lupines, sunflowers, bold yellow mustard, coyote bush and tangles of wild roses. Huge thistles, both purple and milk varieties, also emerged earlier on in the season. Giant stands of oak form a shaded canopy for parts of this easy hike that's friendly to children, horses and mountain bikers.
