Editorial Review for Kitson – by Mar Yvette
In Short
Make it past the paparazzi-lined entrance of this young starlet (and the wannabees who love them) clap-trap and you'll soon discover you've arrived in the land where trends come to be born--and die. Music blares as fat-walleted tourists and aviator-sporting waifs troll the large yet crowded space for pricey trinkets, of-the-moment handbags and more talking tees than you'd ever want to read. The selection of boutique beauty supplies is major (Fresh, Bella, Mop) and there's even a small section for trendy tots, lest you forget that this is L.A., the city where youth reigns supreme.

I live about 5 hours from LA so i drive down to kitson all of the time! it's my facorite store i've been to, and i've shopped fifth avenue in new york many times as well. People seem to be saying that it's overpriced and too big of a fuss, but that's what you're going to get when you're a major hollywood boutique! the items are extrodinary and the service is not at all a problem. the hippies that say paparazzi swarming in the front is a bad thing are nuts. Don't you like to feel like a star? Kitson makes sure of that!!!
Pros: Items, Celebrety clientele, service, experience
Cons: not one!

This is the place to go for it, I suppose. Yes, it might have been a bit tacky, but I want to see what all the fuss was about when I made my recent trip to Los Angeles (this was last summer, mind you). Yes, the prices are a bit steep if you're a real "thrifter" like me, but the store has a great vibe to it, and there are plenty of big-ticket items for sale at more reasonable prices. Plus, the jewelry selection is amazing, and the Kitson brand merchandise is pretty rad, too. So if you want to maybe have a brush with a celebutante or accidentally get snapped by a pap outside the store, than make this place a must-see on your next trip to La La Land.
Pros: great selection, all the hype, good location, great staff, clean and well managed store
Cons: not a hell of a lot of parking, you might get caught in a paparazzi storm
